My God, he's not that fat. And come on, you can't dispute wins. He's a damn good golfer. And he's not fat.
It may be a sad truth, but it's a truth. Anybody who thinks that is fat is really, really out of touch with the way most of the world really looks (i.e. more than Hollywood and professional sports leagues). Sad but true. That's skinny relative to that.
Phil is a great, a very talented golfer. No question. But he's 6'3 so he carries his weight well but he is significantally overweight. He may not look like the 5'8 butterballs we see waddling around houston with a soda and a sonic burrito in their hands, but he is still overweight. You can tell. It would be ugly if he took his shirt off.
I think it might just have to do with the people in U.S. more than anything. Driving around everywhere where Europe and Asia people use a public transports and walk a lot more. I went back to Asia and noticed most asians are fairly thin.
As opposed to, say, a person that claims there are millions of people in the world that would take a human life in order to look like Phil, who would be considered overweight by pretty much any doctor with a brain in his head?
I don't know about you guys, but I would totally bash my wife's head in with a crowbar till her brains splattered against the wall if it meant getting Phil Mickelson's exquisite physique. Who's with me?
actually, supporting Phil is in no way or form being a Tiger hater. I like to see Phil win, but I rather see Tiger win. They're not always mutually exclusive, but neither can you make that jugdment on how people are or feel towards golfers. In fact, I feel that most golfers watch the PGA just to enjoy how good these people are.
Mickelson is 6'2 and weighs 190. The federal government has a website that measures BMI (Body Mass Index). You can see it here. http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/ I typed in Mickelson's height and weight, and what a surprise... his weight (for his height) is in the normal range and NOT the overweight range. I suppose the doctors that work for the federal department of heath are lacking brains, then? If you're going to make these outlandish and over the top blanket statements and apply them to everyone in the universe, the least you could do is check the facts. Clearly, you didn't.
Phil really isn't that good at golf it's just that he is left handed and golf courses are designed for right handed people so he has a huge advantage. All of his major wins were the result of others choking instead of him actually winning outright. Phil is also very very fat.
He hasn't weight 190 since 1985. There is no possible way. I'm 6'1, 195 and wear size 33 waist. There is no way hefty only weighs 190. I'd like to see more to back up this weight claim. Hefty is 230lbs easily.
It's well documented that Mickelson went through an intense workout period before the 2004 Masters where he dropped about 15 pounds, which would put him around 190. The official record lists him at 190, and that's around what I'd guess by looking at him. I'll believe that over your conspiracy theories. I know people that are 230 pounds, and Phil isn't even close. Not even within 30 pounds. As for Tiger, it's not exactly a secret that muscle weighs much more than fat, and Tiger is extremely muscular for his profession. That would explain why his weight seems a bit inflated relative to Mickelson.
