You can't win in the playoffs with pick and roll. Did jordan win all his championship doing pick and pop, pick and roll? It's too predictable, you either fight over the screens to defend the pop jumpers. In the playoffs you have to make plays AT THE RIM. You also have to be able to drive and kick e.g. the Miami Heat. cp3 got trapped over and over again and never made it into the paint to create for others. The clippers would have been better off not getting cp3 and rolling with bledsoe and kaman.
Obviously I'm wasting my time cause all you're doing is bringing up Bledsoe who got to the paint a few times but of course if Chris Paul had conceded to him they would have definitely won that series against the Spurs. And of course they should have traded CP3 back for just Kaman since him and Bledsoe could have done it all alone, ad well as get them into the playoffs the way they had the previous 2 seasons together. CP3 has multiple weapons at his disposal his crossover, fadeaway jumper, step back jumper, quick first step, mid range game, 3 point range, just to name the few. I'm simply pointing out that his game is nearly unstoppable when he has a big that can effectively run the pick and roll with him the way West did in NO. They gave the eventual champs the biggest scare of those playoffs with just those two players and a bunch of scrubs. You take your Bledsoe/Kaman combo and their playoff-less/success-less games, I'll take CP3 and, so would the Clippers obviously, any day.
Is Alexey Shved still available? He would complement either Aaron Brooks or Toney Douglas since neither are great distributors.
The best clippers team of the last 10 years was the 2006 team with Chris Kaman where they took the Suns to seven games in round 2. In one of those playoffs games Kaman had like 16 rebounds.
