Ah good to see Cohen on another thread!

    Check out Tim Thomas's profile.
    on hoops hype

"Versatility... Plays the two, three and four... Outstanding athleticism... Excellent offensive player... Superb first step and great long-range accuracy... Lots of putbacks... Should be more consistent."

We dont have anyone besides TMac with this athleticism. Who cares if he's currently playing the 2. Horry had to play the 2-3 and GUARD Tim Duncan/Karl Malone/Webber etc..

I think he can be a the new Robert Horry.

So was Jimmy Jackson, until he came to the Rockets.
He was the rock last year.

Tim Thomas is the exact opposite of what the rockets would covet as a power forward next to Yao. He is soft, not physical, doesn't rebound well, etc.

A more realistic gamble if they felt it was necessary would be samuel dalembert in philly. The more complete choices are all going to be building blocks for their franchises or require trades that involve giving up stuff that the Rockets just don't have available to trade.

Tim Thomas where did u come up w/ this one tinman? Even your arch enemy Howard is better than him for our team, IMO.

I was thinking that we needed an Horry type player.
This guy is a MUCH better ball handler than Horry.

And Fresh Prince won 5 titles. If the Spurs win it this year, then make it 6.

Think about it, he can play 3 positions, he's can handle the ball (just as well or better than Charlie Ward).

He's got the size to guard and LENGTH to guard the quicker PFs like KG.

Remember Horry's championship runs with the Rockets/Lakers, he had to face the top PFs in the league. He guarded Rasheed , Malone, Webber, etc

    oh Horry was INCONSISTENT also.

WOW! He can dunk! No one else in the NBA can do that! Who needs other skills when you can dunk?

If you can play the 2, you are not a 4.

Kevin Garnett played guard in the playoffs (when Cassell was hurt).
I guess according to your logic he's not a PF.

Sorry for dropping that boomstick on you.

The last time the Wizards made the playoffs it was with Juwan Howard. Paying him a crapload of money has not been one of their worst moves of the last 10 years.

As for Tim Thomas as a PF, for the Rockets...where do you get this crap from.

Hey, the Knicks just released Shandon Anderson, maybe he can play PF for us.

No, Garnett did NOT play the guard. He brought the ball up the court as a forward...he still guarded the 4, was a board monster, posted up offensively. He didn't all of a sudden start shooting threes, rotating back on defense to prevent the fast break, etc.

Okay, I just did a Google picture search for "Tim Thomas", and on the second page of the image search results, I found some very disturbing images. Now I feel sick. It's all your fault, tinman.

tim thomas' game is nowhere similar to horry, that's some bad comparison to start with... lost most people, i think tim thomas's just another overrated, overhyped player who's atheticism dont mean jack cause he doesnt know how to utilize it on the court. There's no 1 aspect of his game that stand out meaning he's better coming off the bench. As far as being a complimentary player, not sure if his big ego or attitude can adjust to such role, a la eddie robinson.

    OMG you got me.

Garnett is not a true 4 either. Besides, I don't think that Tim Thomas and KG are in the same universe when it comes to talent.
