If we keep this pick that is what will probably happen. Best player or athlete available. I would like to see the rockets get a Marquis Daniels type, an athletic swing guy that can play defense. Because unless the kid can play good smart defense, he will not see the light of day off the bench with JVG. I just don't see them drafting a PG or a power forward. Those positions are to critical for the rockets right now and more than likely will be addressed with veterans through trades or free agency.
We need to look at Aaron Miles from Kansas in the second round. He's played four years at point for one of the best programs in the nation. All time assists leader for Kansas. Good defender, great floor leader. He should be available. A great player from a great college program.
None of the above. I want a point guard. I think they should sign a free agent power forward and draft a point guard.
I do not like his game. Am I the only who thinks he is overrated? I have seen him now more than once and I do not see what the rave is all about. Oh btw, I believe Badiane comes back this weekend for his German team Opel Skyliners.
Has anybody seen this guy Deng Gai from Fairfield? I don't even know where Fairfield is but check this out... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=6038 He sounds a lot like Badiane but dang 5.6 blocks per game
I don't want to keep hitting you on this, and was about to let it go. But, since someone has just bumped the thread back up top, I think I'll reply one more time. I know you haven't watched the guy play, let alone "numerous times", because if you have, there is absolutely no way you'll say he's like a Troy Murphy (a 4 with a J). It's totally beyond any possibility that you'd watch his game and make a comment like that. He can do too much more than Troy Murphy and 4 with a J. Also, Utah hasn't been shown on national TV alot this year. Unless you live in Utah, there is no way you watched him "numerous times". But it's OK, I don't blame you for this(people do say this kind of things all the time, probably including myself, which I humbly admit ), and I don't want to back you into a corner so we have to start arguing. What I really want to do is to urge you(and everyone in fact) to watch Bogut play. Utah will be in the Mountain West Tournament in March, and it will be on ESPN (I think). He's a joy to watch, and it's so much fun to see what he does on the court as a 7 footer. Watch out for his passing ability, he reminds me of Divac in that aspect. BTW, I don't want to hype Bogut for any other reasons than the fact that I was amazed by him. Just recently, his school kicked the living and screaming trash out of my school in our place because of his total domination in the paint. It was an embarrassing loss for us, but, he's simply unbelievable in that game, and he did it while having an migraine headache. I became a full time believer after that (I was part time before).
