VY has long long ways to go before being compared to either Manning or Brady. ;)

I was over it until new allegations surfaced that the Patriots were stealing signals in that game.

They're ****ing pathetic. Belichick is pure evil. I bet he sacrifices children.

I guess it depends on the coaching staff. If I had a really good offensive coordinator, then I would choose Brady in a second.

If my OC was shaky, I would go with Manning, seeing as he calls his plays

It's not to say that Brady can't do it, I don't think he is as good as Manning when it comes to sorta thing...sorta like McNabb is good runner, but not as good Vick or such and such has strong arm, but not as strong Carson Palmer's.

Give me Brady without hesitation. Peyton Manning is like the Karla Malone of the NFL. Great in the regular season, choker in the postseason when it really matters. Sure, Manning has a better arm, quicker release, is stronger…yada yada yada. However, when the pressure rises his game fades. There are just too many examples to support this.

I am from Houston, and I expect my stars to get better when it matters the most (Olajuwon has ruined me). In the regular season Manning has a 2-1 td/int ratio. In the playoffs it drops to 1/1. In the regular season he is setting records…but in the postseason he can barely get his team into the end zone on most occasions (around 65-70% of his postseason td’s have come in 3 games).

And yes, I know Brady has always been on the better team when he won his titles, but on the path to the SB he made few mistakes. Even in last years SB run Manning had a negative td/int ratio. And yes, Manning hasn’t always had the complete team around him, but he has always had studly offensive help aside from say his rookie year (HOF and All-Pro WR’s, All-Pro RB’s, solid TE, great offensive line, the same offensive coordinator for the majority of his career, etc)…and he has usually failed to get in the end zone in the postseason. There is a difference between losing, and playing like crap while your team loses. Manning’s playoff games have been pretty bad, especially considering the huge dropoff from regular season production, and the fact that he has more leeway on the plays called during the game. With all those weapons (team basically built for him) it is inexcusable to have that many horrible playoff games.

I’m baffled at how some can dismiss how his game comes down a whole level in the postseason. It’s the equivalent of Hakeem going from 25-10 to 15 and 5….

I always thought the best QB argument wasn't Marino vs. Montana, but

    Montana vs. Young

I believe it's a better argument, because they are almost polar opposites as players and they were practically same team.

Montana was a classic QB manage the game from start to finish, be able to throw on time in all the right places, field general, and etc.

Young was in the mode of a style of play that was shunned upon in Football for years....a running QB...from Tarkenton to Cunningham...along Flutie, Vick, Garcia, and McNabb. Like a number of other QBs, he had orginally been regulated to safety and full-back in college football (questionable passing skills or not NFL material), but improved as passer.

People might've questioned Young ability to win in big games compared to Montana. He's probably not considered the 1st or 2nd best QB of all time simply because he only won one Super Bowl. But, talent-wise and every possible skill encompassed into QB, I thought he was the best of all time. He was great passer, great reading defenses, cannon arm, and good runner/scambler. And statistically, Young does have better numbers and higher QB rating than Montana.

Does Montana still win 4 super Bowls in 90s, if matched up against the Cowboys, Packers, or Vikings or Rams of the late 90s? To hard to say?

But I think the two are much closer together in talent than most would say.

I should have specified in my original post...but..
I don't think there is evidence that proves that he is the best. Both are awesome. How do we know who is better at it?
