Should have got him in 2012... Until I see a QB perform well for the texans consistently might as well do whatever. if possible for Manning it couldn't hurt, especially if it helps develop our current guys. I mean if he's willing to pass the torch if needed.
The question is simple Even at this age and point Do We Have a Better QB than this old Peyton . . . on this roster? Rocket River
Am I the only one that sees this as being talked about in PAST TENSE? As in, they TALKED about it, but eventually decided it WASN'T going to take place? I bet the Broncos talked about all kinds of scenarios where dealing Peyton was a possibility, but eventually decided to roll the dice for one more season and see where he can take them.
Haha, being a back-up QB behind Peyton seems like it would suck so badly. I bet he doesn't even give Osweiler help finding the training room, let alone play-calling and general advice on how to be a professional. Peyton seems like a nice enough guy off the field, but on the field, he's kind of a jerk.
Lucky for you, then...he officially stopped running last season. Ever. Peyton: "3rd and 8 with 20+ yards of COMPLETELY open field in front of you for the 1st? Better throw a duck 40 down the sideline into double coverage." I know he was injured in that playoff game vs the Colts (and the last third of the season for that matter) but I'll never forget that play in particular. I was at the game and the audible gasp from everyone at Mile High sucked out nearly every bit of oxygen available at such altitude.
