Peyton's neck is good, but the nerve regen is the problem -- his arm strength is weak and he's not close to throwing the ball like he used to. Nerve regen can take years to finish. Even with the neck being ok'd by his docs one blindside sack could send him into retirement.
Chris Wesseling @ChrisWesseling As KC pointed out above, arm strength is not there yet. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ing-not-throwing-like-an-nfl-quarterback-yet/
yet before the fatman took his foot out, he led the league in most explosive pass plays. Half were passes of 30-40 yards through the air the other half were short completions taken the distance, like every qb has. I don't care if my qb can throw the ball 100 yards sitting on a toilet while eating a whataburger with the other hand.

I'm calling BS on that. Probably a PR move by the owner so he can tell people he offered to bring back Peyton but Peyton decided to leave.
This entire saga has been one big divorce playing out in the press, with each dropping calculated leaks and announcements to make the other look like the bad guy....all while pretending to be the sweet innocent one. I just hope that this ends with a clean break in two weeks and they don't extend the $28M deadline back to April/May. I'm so done with the idiotic speculation about him possibly maybe wanting to go the the Texans.
^^ That has nothing to do about the retirement of Peyton, they do that every offseason, if you see the jerseys in nflshop.com (the official NFL store) they have 50% off.
