Chris Mortensen @mortreport [rQUOTEr]Peyton Manning met between 5 & 6 hours late today with #Dolphins coach Joe Philbin and other staff members in Indianapolis, per sources.[/rQUOTEr] [rquoter]Appearing on Total Access Monday night, NFL Network's Michael Lombardi suggested the Titans are a "viable" option for free agent Peyton Manning, but the Dolphins are not. The Titans are "absolutely" in it, though Lombardi suspects the Dolphins won't be in the chase much longer after Monday's 5-6 hour meeting. Lombardi's colleague Jeff Darling adds that Manning is "underwhelmed with the structure in place" with the Dolphins. Meanwhile NFL Network's Albert Breer hears the Broncos are the favorites while Michelle Beisner reports the Cardinals feel "very good" about their chances. Pete Prisco of CBSSports.com hears from one league exec that Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark could join Manning in Denver.[/rquoter]
this is getting nauseating, just pick a fkn team already...but also, wouldn't you want to see him throw before you make a commitment?
I'm not putting Peyton is the same category as the three Miami Divas, yet, but every team he visits puts a lot of families through unnecessary stress, so I hope he wraps it as quickly as possible.
if peyton signs with denver and they knock the texans out of the playoffs, there will be no controlling the amount of vomit i project.
If he has a suitor willing to give him contract in absence of a workout, any other suitors lose leverage in trying to press for one. There's also the issue of the short window to get something in time for free agency. Peyton himself admits that he has a ways to go, so a workout today isn't going to demonstrate that he's back. He wants to sign now, but it'll be June before anyone might expect him to demonstrate a strong arm in a workout.
How? I always thought when it came the QBs, the better player always gets the job, anyway. We've gotten to a point in this country, where people take sports way too seriously. It's not like the QBs who are endanger of losing their spots to Manning will be kicked out of the league and forced to never come back. They can always go play in other places.
A lot of things are involved. One thing being the free agency market. If he signs sooner, the team that he signs with can go and get a weapon for him. He's holding about 4 teams hostage right now. Once he signs, everyone can move on.
Well, I'm sure you're thrilled about him meeting with the Titans... Nothing like having to deal with him in the same division again.
Do you care if he ends up in Tennessee Bob? “Well, it really doesn’t matter.” “We beat him when he was healthy, and we’ll do it again. It’s up to us. It’s up to us. We play a lot of good quarterbacks. We play against a lot of good ones.” - Bob McNair
I only hated you because you were so good. Don't make me hate you legitimately. Do the right thing, Peyton. Any team but the Titans.
I can just imagine Bud taking Peyton out to lunch at Denny's, ordering him the Dagwood special, and with this big, s**t-eating smirk on his face, sliding a napkin with a salary offer on it over to him that's missing about two to three extra zeroes.
