well that wasnt supposed to be towards the guy i quoted but to this thread. I still dont understand the point of this thread. The problem is obviously in the second half and yet people are saying Battier needs to start the game off the bench? He wont go cold if he doesnt start the third or 4th quarter cause he has no offensive game. Another thing you all seem to forget is that Battier is the defensive leader. He is the most vocal guy on the court when on D. For a guy getting older he is also putting in more effort than normal. Guys like Brooks, Martin, Scola, and Yao are getting burned more than ever and he is trying to help out more. Watch the games again and you see Battier trying to get involved in almost all defensive plays. Then you add in the fact that this Adelman offense requires him to move around more than he is used to on the other end. That is what is pissing me off about Adelman. I dont think his rotation and system is maximizing the usage of some, if not all, of the players. Brooks has lost his mind. Martin disappears in the fourth or when it matters most, Scola does not play any defense anymore, Lowry is jacking up random shots for some reason, and more.
