Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I don't think many people saw that!

 

I'm not saying he did this, but it looks like he simply made up some stuff he wished would happen and tried to blame it on a 'friend'. That's just what it 'looks like' to me...

He's been here long enough to know you don't post inside news like this with a source you're not sure about and just leave...like 1000's of people on this site wouldn't have already seen information from marc stein and posted the info before one of Kapesi's 'friends' had time to read it, type it, email it, and for him to check his mail at the same time, read it, and post the message.

No apology and obviously no remorse, but I'm sure the mods appeciate this..

Do you think he just wanted rep, so post a breaking news, expecting people rep him for finding that??

and after a day or two, after having enough rep, then he says "I was wrong"
when the rep is already given.

Is this is the case I hope he gets a bit of negative rep.

 

Could also good serve as a good teaching moment to those repping people that post threads with unconfirmed, unsubstantiated BS.

Clutch has already gave him his punishment yesterday. He was demoted, and lost all his rep. No need to ban, as it was a single offense.

 

Yeah, I think that was a good way to handle it. Props to the mods.

 

He's not the only one to blame for that runaway thread. More people should have been smarter and had their bull**** detectors turned on. The proposed deal was unrealistic (as I tried to tell people in that thread) and it went unconfirmed forever. People should have known better.
