Now that I think about it, I think that ZRB is the BBS version of Cuttino Mobley, the local whipping boy. Most any other player can miss a shot, but if Cat misses it people freak out. Some people post negative things, but when ZRB does it people freak out. The whipping boy. So see, asking for ZRB to be banned is the equivalent of asking for Cat to be cut! I take the term troll to be pretty derogatory and not very applicable to a regular poster. this is amazing -- somehow ZRB is being turned into a martyr. The guy is a lunatic -- within one 24-hour (probably less) period, he argued that (a) the Rockets should start looking a year or two out, this year is over (b) they are going to beat Philly for the title this year (c) forget about the playoffs. I don't want to get into the whole flip saunders thing again, but I have been consistent for years on two things: (a) Rudy is an overrated coach and (b) in spite of that, I love the direction the team is taking with respect to personnel, and the Rockets have the talent to kick ass this year and in the future. ZRB remains a joke. ------------------
Rockets03, I'm a firm believer that he is a professional troll. Not professional as in makes money, but that he is purposesly is taking on the negative poster role to get responses and make a name for himself. He knows what he is doing. I've seen these types on other boards. They are anti everything just so you remember their moniker. I love the way he pretends to be hurt and all and apologize. That's crap. L'il Pun, screw the ignore part. ZRB is a troll, and provocative trolls who fill a board with threads each and everday are jerks who enjoy being the center of a conversation rather than inject much in other conversations. There is no other way to look at it. How many boards have you partaken in in your life? Nearly every board i've been to, whether for my job, school or fun has a ZRB. And they love it. They love you to defend them and argue with them. They love it. Maybe if you'd ignore him, he'd go away. As for me, I love explaining what a troll is to fellow board members and smothering them so they are forced to do their apology game and try to explain their real personality. Notice how ZRB has never explains Rocket memories or why he loves things or even hates things. Because trolls aren't about socializing and showing their true personailities. ZRB is a troll. Every board has one. Let him defend himself. what a jerk. Trolls make lurkers go away. People never register to converse with a troll.

ZRB should be allowed to stay. I sure as hell dont agree with some of his opinions but banning him is wrong. I think he does have some legitimate gripes sometimes as we all do. Sniper, that is an amateur, newbie troll. ZRB is a polished troll who knows that inflammatory remarks get you banned. A troll is simply someone who provokes responses by taking the negative approach, because they don't know how else to socialize on a bbs.

I thought this was a troll I think ZRB adds some good spice to this board. He doesnt really go around insulting anyone moreso than others here do already. He is just a little overreactionary, but it is funny, and we all know humor is one of the main reasons we come back to this board on a daily basis. ------------------

HeyPee, I don't know how long you lurked before you started posting, but I lurked several months and still mostly lurk. I remember when you first started posting. My recollections of the general personality of the bbs back then was there were way more negative posters than there are now. Caveman, who posted fairly recently and got absolutely flamed, used to post quite a bit and received a lot of support from other posters. The personality of this board evolves continuously, with a few posters, like yourself, and admins hanging in there. Remember when Francis3 used to be so prolific? Anyway, I wouldn't call for banning anyone for being excitable and posting negative posts, even if you think they are doing it deliberately. Maybe I have a bad memory, but most of the posts these days are easier to take than back in 1999. ------------------
