    I love how people say

"He won us two championships....way to show your loyatly"

As if this is some forever blanketing protection. Meanwhile 18 years later as the Rockets still dont make the playoffs

"He won us two championships....way to show your loyalty"

The Rox also only missed on playoffs in what....something like 17 years. Now we are going to miss our 4th straight. Yes I realize Hakeem was pretty damn good...but our team as a whole is 10 times as talented as any team we have put together short of the second title run.

Yes I realize they are young too. Doesnt seem to impede Indiana's march...hey isnt Indy younger? Dont they have a newer coach...it must be the superstar perfomances the Veteran Reggie Miller is giving. Rudy did NOT win those championships....those teams did. Plain and simple.

I like how people down Phil Jackson's ability to turn a non factor like the Lakers were into championships by claiming..."It was the natural maturization of Shaq and Kobe" Yet Rudy won us those titles and it wasnt the natural maturization of the Rox team.

Watch our crappy O subjectively and youll realize how sh!tty a job he's done at implementing anything that looks like a pro style offense.

Its funny....twice now the League has implemented rules to stop Rudy Ball.

    1. Barkley backing it in, backing it in....dribble dribble. Iso ISO Iso...
    2. Zone defenses (Remember the compition commitee used Rudy's lack of team orientated movement offense) as a reason to use Zone.

Yet the man just doesnt adapt at all. Its still iso, iso, iso...hide an Iso with the mask of a pick and roll....but dont EVER demand that Francis or Mobley EVER hit the Screener when they roll. I can count on 1 hand....And Ive seen all but 5 games......the number of times Mobley passed to the roller. Ludicrous. Worthless. Piece of crap offense.

You can say that Rudy doesnt draw it up like that and the players are to fault for not following direction....I say. It IS his fault for allowing it to happen then. Plain and simple. NUFF SAID.

Great post. The only thing that I disagree with is that you are the original member of "Can the Man." I've been b****ing about Rudy's offense ever since we got Pippen where all Pippen did was stand around the perimeter. Can any of blame Pippen for wanting out of here?

I can't believe that you're nearly as old as your profile says you are judging by your posts.

    You're an immature little a-hole.

There's absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind that we would have won at least 1 more championship with a coach other than Rudy!!

And now that we have Yao and Eddie and Nachbar, we should be a contender NOW, not later, BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Rudy won't even let Boki off the bench.

You should "never under estimate the heart of a champion", but you should also NEVER OVER ESTIMATE THE BRAIN OF AN IDIOT!!

I like to keep this thread at the top so that more people will realize that it is time to fire Rudy and bring on a new coach. Maybe then we will have a chance at the playoffs. Please sit Francis because he is hurting the team out there.

    It's you! You're back!
I don't have any die-hard vendetta against Rudy T., so lemme axe you this. Would CD have been a better coach if his ailments weren't threatening to the job at hand?

Yeah CD would be a good coach if it wasn't for his illness. I also think van gundy will be a good coach as well. Earl are you still watching the rockets because they are giving me a headache as of late.

    is van gundy available

if he is lets start a get van gundy petition

the rox suck now, rudy is the problem, he cant get the "team" to play as a team, just a bunch of individuals, i dont care what you rudy lovers say, i dont care how many close games there were, i dont care that we beat the lakers, just look at the standings and look at our talent, they just dont correlate, we have so much talent that we cant even bring nachbar out to play some

i see it like this, if we slip in the 8th spot i see rudy unfortunatly staying, if we dont get into the playoffs i see RUDYS gone and beautiful days in Houston, nothing lasts forever had hopefully rudy wont last longer, cause in the end the coach is 2 blame

    bye rudy

If the Rockets miss the playoffs this year, Rudy will be gone. I believe the time is right. This team needs discipline, and Rudy is not a disciplinarian. In the old days, they had enough veteran leadership in Hakeem, et. al. to get by. Now that they are so young, they need a coach who can instill discipline.

How about Bobby Knight? You want discipline, there you go.....Then again, I'd like to see him try to choke YAO.....Could he even reach that high?:)

I can't believe you actually think Yao, EG, and Nachbar would have us contending if not for Rudy. You're right a frontcourt who's oldest player is 22 should be contending. Why don't you apply for the coaching job since you've got it all figured out you must have all kinds of credentials

I guess since age has everything to do with it Matt Maloney, Kobe should turn his three rings back into the NBA.

Does the excuse making EVER stop?!?!?!

Its like Rudy is a relative to some of you. Rather would keep Rudy than ensure the best of the Franchise.

Maybe you should call yourselves "The Houton Tomjanovich's" fans.

I have a new worry - the fact that Mobley has completely or partially tuned out Rudy is quite troubling. This notion became even clearer a few days ago but was confirmed with CM's latest interview (with Toronto Press).
