i think the earliest tracy will return is 11/29 @ oklahoma (he would have had 3-4 practices in front of the coaching staff).

the latest either 12/9 v. cavs or 12/11 @ philly. feigen predicts he'll be back around these 2 games. i think it's most likely this b/c after the next road, the team will have 3 off days to further evaluate tracy's readiness.

If I were a free agent I would love to sign with the Rockets. You could give a half ass effort, you could knee jerk the entire organization, you don't have to notify the organization of any of your decissions such as having season ending surgery, you can shy away from being the leader of the team. After all that Rocket fans will continue to support you no matter what. Gotta love Houston!!!! Any other die hard sports town would be calling for his head but Houston is the city of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances. Majority of the Rockets fans probably still believe Steve Franchise is a star in this league giving another chance.

I'm pretty sure I worked out the reason Morey and Adelman aren't playing T-Mac. It's because there would be no more "the little Rockets that could" story, or no more "we have $40mil sitting on the bench" excuses. If he's right, let the man play...if he's crap, no big deal just dump him, if not resign him next year to a low deal. What do we have to lose right now? This isn't a championship team.

Even T-Mac has said himself that he wasn't supposed to come back until mid-January. What's the rush? Why does it seem like he's trying to prove some point that no one cares about?

McGrady should take note of this:

He is playing in practice, and so far, he is crap, and not able to beat out the guys in front of him.

Does that mean he won't get better? No, but until he shows he is all the way back, he sits.

The Rockets will not play him until he goes full out on offense and defense and proves he has confidence in his knee....for his own good.

Where are you getting this information from? Is this implied from coach's comments? Or was this said specifically by someone on the Rocket's staff?

All from coaches comments about his lack of explosiveness, and his teamates saying he is still favoring the knee etc.

we should start another poll asking who's jumped back on the tmac bandwagon after some of the games the Rockets have lost. i'll bet there are some who were tmac haterz but are now like....oh we need him blah blah blah.

ive never been for or against him playing. I would like to see what he has to give, but if he's not on the court, its for a reason. gotta trust the judgement of morey and RA.

that's a ridiculous statement. elson turner said they want tmac back when he returns to the "all-star mcgrady." they don't want him back if he performs on the level of shane or an ariza. that's not going to help the team.

and they want him back when his knee (in their opinion) allows him to play every game, at a high level, without having to sit out here or there, which can disrupt the chemistry of the team.

those are turner's words. basically, according to turner, they don't want tmac to use games to get back to speed. they want him to use practice. when he's back to his old self, he'll play.

b/c your doctor has cleared you for full-contact play. and your world-renowned trainer said no problem. microfracture surgery usually takes 9-12 months (including the most extensive ones). his is the LEAST EXTENSIVE, and he hasn't played in an NBA game in NINE MONTHS. he probably won't be back till mid-december, which would make it TEN MONTHS.

Yea I agree it's mostly the kids that are infatuated with him. They don't give a darn about the franchise. They just want someone to call a star on the team and feel like they have one in T-McMarbury.

Just let them keep clinging on to hope. We will be the ones to have the last laugh Screw_ston.

Let him play somewhere else. The Rockets are a classy organization and McGrady is the opposite of class, and that includes his low percentage, lazy, no defense, it's on me- oh we lost because of my team mates, game.

That is what I said...right now he is playing like crap, or not up to his standards.

And BTW, if you are a consipiracy nut like I am, then when you read Turner's comments, they are setting the bar WAY TO HIGH, they don't want Tmac back, and by saying....we want him back WHEN he reaches the old all star level they are essentially doing lip service.

Because they know the chances of Tmac hitting that all star level after MF surgery last February are very very very slim.

So, by saying that they give themselves an out to never play the guy.

    Something like:

"Well he is better, but still not up to his standards, and until he gets there he is going to have to work it out in practice"....

Knowing full well he won't EVER get there in practice, because there are so few of them in the regular season.

The Tmac fans are just not reading what is happening here very well.

no you said right now he's playing like crap and can't beat out anybody who's in front of him. you can't tell me he's playing any worse than shane. that means tracy needs to retire.

lip service? grover says he can return to that level. ariza says he can return to that level. and turner indicated that he can return to that level. lip service? tmac WILL play. he's not going to sit out for a long time like people want or say. he's going to play. feigen said in his blog that he thought it would most likely be 12/9 v. cavs or 12/11 v. philly. so it's you who reads into those conspiracy theories, not me.

tmac is going to play in a few weeks. and i'm sure there will be more than 5 full practices during that period. tracy can use that to get acclimated with the new guys (ariza/chase/lowry/new brooks/new landry). believe it or not DD, these are not the rafers/heads/bobby Js tracy used to play with.
