If he was fit, he would be challenging for a place in the rotation. He is not, the coaches have consistently said he lacks exlosiveness, and others have said he is still favoring the knee. Maybe it is physical, maybe mental, maybe a combination, but until Tmac proves in practice that he is back for good and all the way back, he will sit. DD
Where is the option for T-Mac to come back when he is able to keep up with our team consistently. Why set a date and pressure him to make it when it could jeopardize all these months of hard work he has put in to strengthen his knee? It will be all for not if he rushes even one month early and injures himself again. Let the man be and let him continue working hard to come back at full strength. He may have the desire to come back now, but the team doctors, trainers and coaches need to know his knee and body can keep up with that desire. This team deserves at least that. T-Mac deserves at least that.
Practice.. you mean practice.. we're not talking about the game here... not the game.. not the real game itself.. practice.. how the hell is he going to make himself by practicing?!
I don;t see why not. He feels he is ready and if he is, he brings exactly what this team is missing right now. What's the worst that could happen? People were saying the same stuff about Vince Young 5 weeks ago and look how that turned out.
+1! The fact that they don't want to even give a player the hungriest he's ever been a chance makes me think this is about the insurance money. Surely it would be hard to lose by more than 31 with him.
But explosiveness can also be on defense.....Battier plays hard and within the system. Tmac is better than Battier if he applies himself and is healthy. Right now the coach is playing the best players he thinks can help him win. Tmac is not one of them. DD
Exactly, problem is he's practically the most talented player on the team, and not playing him because of an personal issue, means he's putting his feelings before the team winning.
Not really, he would just have to humble himself and bust everyone in practice, sort of like Landry did his rookie year where RA was forced to play him. Tmac has more talent than anyone on the team, but his attitude and injury are holding him back. DD
Simply put, you're making things up. There's a very real medical concern on not letting the guy play, and as long as it exists, it is reasonable to hold him back without going into some personal issue crap.
True about the injury but I cant blame him for the attitude, I mean whatever he says or does people seem to make it bigger than what it is.
