This is pretty heartless. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on clutch fans. I mean he liked the rockets and this is the biggest rockets site in the world.
I always trust ppl who pop up out of nowhere after as many years as you. My first instinct was to give money to your fund. But Clutch did make the wise statement to try to research what the family would want...so he might come back posting a link to a charity of their choosing or something else. Also, Rockets might already be putting together a signed jersey. I'm sure Clutch will make sure cfnet members can contribute to something, especially since a bbs member @yoeddy was responsible for the Rockets Org becoming aware of it.
Interesting because the Stoneman Douglas baseball coach and team was at the Astros Spring training game today. Just random that the Houston sports scene would be so connected.
Good point. We can act with the best of intentions but sometimes, for whatever reason, there can be unintended consequences. Best to tread as gently and sensitively as possible when such tragedy is involved.
True. If its possible, it would be amazing for the Rockets to even fly the family/parents in for a home game and they could honor Peter Wang in that game or something. This is if he really really loved the Rockets that much.
Ya honestly, I'm definitely down to contribute but I would love to see the organization and especially the players take the lead on this. I will be tweeting at the rockets and players today, if more people can join that would be awesome
