Jimmy is definitely not a deadlier shooter..he made open shots but i mean he gets very wide open shots ..or he got those wide open shots on the Rockets.

I really hope Wesley can make more of those open shots. I really do..

The JJ trade was not just a change of two role players. It completely destroyed the morale of the team. We were playing
borderline playoff ball before the trade, now it may need a few more games for the team to get back to "borderline playoff" status.

So what then? Make a trade for the sake of a trade? No Brown so we'll take Wesley...

This is a first, has to be, in that Pete Vecsey actually reported something right!

Vecsey's been reading the BBS. The only thing I disagreed with was his tone-- it should have been far more pessimistic.

    Oh, and this:

The Bobcats are trying to expand...? What, take over other teams...? Capture territory? Invade South Carolina?

Who, exactly? That's what I'm asking with regard to the opportunity cost. Tabling the he said/she said Damon Jones speculation, who would have signed then for 1.8 milllion who would have been better than Ward?

I don't think anybody, and I think with Ward out with injury, playing time for Barrett is not a concern.

Here's what their positions should be on a good team.

Ward-12th man on the IR team
    Barry-Backup shooting guard
    Gaines-Backup shooting guard
    Sura-Backup shooting guard
Wesley-backup point guard with time at the 2

Wesley is the prefect tweener, plays like a shooting guard with PG size. So, his position is hard to determine.

    Barrett-Backup point guard

all of our role playing guards should not be starters, but two of them have to be if T-Mac is going to play the 3.

and our PFs aren't starting material either, thus we have Yao and T-Mac surrounded with overpaid, underachieving, unproductive, and perhaps non-passionate (ahem Mo) role players.

I've been trying to figure out if a good combo guard is what we need right now. It seems like a good fit, because we need a point who can put the ball in the hole real bad. T-Mac's the creator for this team, so we wouldn't be missing out on much playmaking. All Wesley has to really do in the way of pg duties is throwing the ball to TMac and Yao; if Sura can do that much, Wesley should be able to do it, too. Then all he has to worry about is hitting open shots...

Well, here's hoping he works out!
