I agree, but my point was that anything could happen.

We can't trade the TE with a player. We can make two seperate deals with the same team to make it work though. Example: Wesley for Player A, TE for Player B.

This is incorrect. Wesley can be traded immediately as long as his salary is not combined with another Rocket to match the incoming salary or salaries. IOW, he can be traded today by himself. And the TE could be used independently in another part of the trade. Not that I think it will happen...only that it could happen.

Sort of like Sheed's stopover in Atlanta, I guess? I'm still holding out hope that there is something else in the works.

After reading this article I think I am going to be sick. I will attempt to try to stay positive but things are not going so good for the ROX.

Vescey has some bad blood with Wesley. I wonder what the beef is? I've never heard too much about Wesley.

I'm pretty sure Vecsey meant Shandon Anderson, since both he and Eisley played on the Jazz.

Why so many people make a fuss about this trade? Boki has to go since JVG won't be fired in his 2nd year, with 2/3 more years remaining. We all know JVG hates Boki, this is evident from not picking up his option to putting him in the IL. So the trade is really an exchange of,
    Jackson <==> Wesley.

I'm not sure hom many of you have followed Wesley's games, this guy at worst will provide same stats as Jackson with better ball handling, and better energy. Given our back court situation, this is clearly a reasonable move.

Let's give them a few games before jump into any conclusion. This is the only board I know of have so many people agree with Vecsey. This guy can make anything out of nothing.

The "either...or...." grammer suggests one or the other, not both.

MAN, do we look stupid. This article is really an eye opener. Reading something like that almost makes you forget about the good things CD has done for the Rox organization. Just BONE HEAD MISTAKES.

Do we not have any perception of what the market value for players are? Obviously not! Why would we sign C Ward to a guaranteed 2 yrs - when other teams only give a most a 10 day contract. Crazy

Additionally why give Sura a 4 year contract?? One or two years would have been ok but to sign him to a 4 year deal is just a horrible job of negotiating by our genius GM.

Everyone except CD and Van Grumpy could see that Damon Jones would have been a good fit here. Thinking an over-the-hill PG like Ward and an aging and injury-prone PG like Sura could solve our problems at that position was a big mistake and one that will hurt our franchise not only this year but also next season.

Ward's contract, according to the market value set for guys like Derek Fisher and Brent Barry, was really not that ridiculous; It's not like he's even getting Moochie money. That 1.7 and 1.8 on the cap this year and next was not going to make the difference between getting Carlos Boozer or anything like that.

Not that CD hasn't made stupid decisions, I mean Ward does suck, but this isn't a Taylor-Cato style albatross contract

    yeah, yeah it was.

Ward had no value, and yet got a two year deal somewhat higher than the league minimum.

True but why would you sign a guy to a 2 year deal when he couldn't even get ahead of J. Hart in the Spurs rotation the year before. I think that signing was also influenced alot by Van Dummy.
