i was there too and some rocket fans were quiet but most were cheering.

i was the only standing up around my area cheering for every basket. in fact, i screamed MVP when tmac started shooting fts b4 the clips crowd overwhelmed me. i had my throwback tmac jersey on sitting in section 116.

but there were quite a few rockets fans there. they were just too casual. my god, have some energy.

some dude called me, "sit down loser" in the first quarter  . and he was 2 sections away from me so it took me a while to see him

GREAT recap i was at the game with another poster here, we were in 218 so a bit further away we were cheering the entire game. there was a yao fan and his gf in front of us that cheered for yao. but everyone else around use was a clipper fan so i doubt you could hear just the two of us but it was a great crowd overall though.

last year at the clippers game (one where we blew them out) i sat next to clipper daryl and we kept jawing the entire game it was fun of course i came out on top because of the W

The Clippers have great fans. Unlike bandwagon hopping ignorant idiots like Mav fans are, these people actually stuck through their team in long, awful droughts. They deserve to be screaming and cheering loud for their team these days.

let's not forget that LA has that other team too. so being a Clips fans should get props.

its easy to figure out what team is more likeable:

one team has Phil Jackson and Kobe
the other has Sam and Cuttino

I love these threads. The best ones on the board. Before T-Mac retires i'm gonna come to the USA and go to a nba game.

Great thread but I don't agree with rubbing it in the Clippers' fans faces, it just feels real mean to tease clippers fans..... I'm sure you did it in a friendly way though.

I saw Bonzi at shoot-around. He was in uniform and taking jumpers, but I don't remember him on the bench afterwards. But then again, I totally forgot about him after shootaround b/c I was so into the game. I think he is working out and he looked in better shape then the last time I saw him against the Clippers.

I really couldn't tell who they chanted that for. Could be a lot of different players, but I just like the energy of the team. They seem to have a lot of fun playing together. And I was expecting some tension b/c of the posts about T-Mac beginning mad at the last game and I didn't know if that was b/c of the team's play or just something that happened. However, all is good in Rocket-town.

I was in the tunnel a lot, but I don't think I was at the tunnel at the end. I was the one guy (right side of the basket that was by the Rockets bench) that would swing my white jersey every time the Rockets scored.

It was all in fun. The Clipper fans are all great and every one of them came up to me after the game and shook my hand. Most of the game was me vs. Clipper Daryll, but when I started to stand up and boo Magette during his free throws in the final minute, all the fans turned against me. I'm just glad we took that game b/c I would have been booed out of the Staples center.
