as an everyday smoker i absolutely favor legalization of pot, but i am against legalizing actual dangerous drugs like cocaine and heroin. i would also support measures to curb prescription pill usage, abuse of which is just as dangerous as the other drugs i mentioned.

im probably around alot more pot smokers than you and i dont know very many who would want to legalize everything. without looking up the statistics i would guess that about 55% of this country favors legalization of pot while probably less than 10% would be in favor of legalizing everything. but decriminalization is a different story...i think most people understand that addicts do not belong in prison.

Force what through? Texas has already taken a lot of steps along the decriminalization route.

    No way.

This goes totally against the other morals Perry sharted all over us. At the very best it is a fleeting comment and by no means will he call for a vote. Then again, I never imagined he would even make a small step like this.

Never thought this once myself and never met another smoker with this frame of mind either. Seems counter-intuitive. Potheads want to smoke pot and chill, not snort lines all day long.

heroin and cocaine are both dangerous and addictive drugs that people can die from. the vast majority of this country, including the majority of the pro-weed crowd is against the legalization of such drugs.

it is not about defending my "vice" - it is about common sense.

Sooo . . .when most people were against Legalization of Weed . . .that was right? It was right to keep it illegal

in my opinion, no. again, its about common sense and proper allocation of police resources and tax dollars.

    in my opinion
it was never right to make it illegal.

i have no idea what your point is here
    or
what you are even arguing with me about.

    may i suggest
    that you check yourself
    before you wreck yourself.

I remember in 5th grade we had a school trip to camp cappy. Anyone else go there?

Well looking back on it they had a lot of messages about not doing drugs, I don't know why really, but I suppose that was the overall reason for the trip. One distinct story I remember one of the people told us was about a guy who used to work there. He was painting a scenery on a shed or something like that, but it was unfinished. They told us he was very talented, but never finished because he started using mar1juana. They never saw him again!

LOL. Looking back on it I laugh, because what would be better to do than paint in the woods while high?
