That is funny Webber is one of the best players to ever play the game, Perkins is a role player.

Webber's 10 times the player Perkins is, regardless of what his opinion was... The ring comment is stupid, you only pull that comment when you are the same caliber player as the other guy.

A big man under should never talk about a big man above

Perkins will never be the play Webber was, not sure why he's calling him out just cause he was the 5th wheel to a championship team.

I don't know why people are big upping Webber. He had skills but he was a massive choke artists, in college AND the pro's

Perkins played a key role in winning a ring for the Celtics just as much as Webber played a key role in choking off a championship for the Kings.

Yes, he choked big time in college, but he was definitely not a "choke artist" in the NBA. The Sacramento Kings were simply outplayed by a once-in-a-generation squad, but the two teams were pretty evenly matched. The Kings were, without a doubt, a championship "caliber" team that was better than the 2008 Celtics.
And to equate Perkins' role for the Celtics and Webber's role with the Kings is laughable.

webber was a multiple time nba all-star and made multiple all-nba teams. he had a 27/11 season.

say what you want about his failures but the he was a MUCH better player than kendrick perkins.

a role player using the ring argument against a former star player is idiotic. it's like james posey criticizing karl malone for not getting a ring.

Perkins a one-on-one defender. I guess whats up for debate is whther OKC needs another shot-blocker to pair up with Ibaka more than they need a one-on-one defender. There arent too many great post players to defend nowadays.

That being said, Perkins comments are downright sad. He was just another piece/role player in that team. It is not like he led his team to the championship. Its a weak argument and a pity comment to make. But it fits him for the kind of guy he is.

I guess you didn't see game 7 of that WC series. Webber puckered up so bad he could barely get up and down the court

Had he not choked but manned up in that game, he would have a ring right now

    http://www.twitter.com/kendrickperkins

    KendrickPerkins kendrick perkins
Since I see my mentions going crazy about the C Webb comments I'll address this situation and I'm done with it

    KendrickPerkins kendrick perkins
First of all I never said Chris wasn't a great player make sure y'all read the tweet before u speak all this nonsense

    KendrickPerkins kendrick perkins
But to say on TV that I'm not a one on one defender was very disrespectful when I defend night in and night out, one on one

    KendrickPerkins kendrick perkins
So that's just it I felt real disrespected about that when I do this every night from my Boston days to my OKC days

So this was his clarification, I guess
