I feel like this is the best option for all parties involved. Chris Paul can go get paid elsewhere by some dumb@ss owner/GM. LeBron doesn't have to worry about looking like a coattail rider, and the Rockets end up with a much more realistic shot of making the money matters for that lineup work without Paul's $40M on the books. We just won 65 games and were the clear best team in the NBA (by some metrics, arguably even the best team ever) when fully healthy. And we won those games with Chris Paul missing like 1/3 of the season, and Harden missing a decent handful as well. Imaging replacing Paul with the GOAT. A guy who never gets hurt. A guy who is at least about as good as Paul at just about everything that matters to this team, except spot-up 3-pt shooting (and he's not exactly a bad shooter). Think of how much more effective our defensive strategy gets, too. We move Harden back to PG and slot LeBron in there at *any* position. We can now literally switch everything (even with Capela). Even without Paul, if everyone else comes back, we would become one of the greatest teams ever put together. Why are so many focused on keeping Paul and getting that "big three" together? We don't need it. And if it actually made us better, it would just be unfair. Harden + LeBron (+ Clint/DJ) would tear this league apart.
I did a half-arsed scan of the first page before posting my thread just now, lulz, but it should definitely be one or the other, and it should definitely be LeBron.
Bc lebron is coming here without his childhood friend cp3. you wasted your time posting this pretty much. No
I don't know what's more "reality", but I'm just saying what should be the case. ... But no, there is no reasonable way we can sign all three of those players if no one takes a paycut.
well the only thing we can do is wait and see what happens instead of assuming everything you read is true
I know most people hate Durant, but at least he was willing to take a huge cut for his team. CP3 isn't?
did cp3 come out and say that? people take stuff they read online way too literally. some of yall need to relax cp3 shouldn't even be in houston then bc this wasn't his top destination according to the media last year
Man I'm out of the GARM for a while...lord knows that Melo thread kept getting bumped to no end. Its going to be hard sifting through all these stupid rumors.
I asked a question. Not sure how a question is a statement of what CP3 said, please inform. I said CP3 isn't? I don't know the answer. Will he or wont he.
