Since I am probably leaving soon, I am going to tell them the truth.....and it will be followed up soon after with a letter to the board of directors about how to fix the company. 5 weeks and counting. DD
This is a very good answer. Within their organization, or within what you think you can help their organization become, what would you like to be doing. Your answer may be very different depending on the industry, your stage in life, and the stage of your career. And if you can't come up with answer that you're happy with (even if it's "I want to continue to do what I'm doing right now") you should probably be looking for another job for your own sanity.
