Timeless, which is particularly surprising in a remake. The opening of Pulp Fiction...any one of you move and I'll execute every last one of you (language filtered)....holy crap, it's on. It's like pressing start on an Awesome Machine. I totally get I'm almost all alone on this...but the last 5 minutes or so of Signs...where it all comes to him that there was purpose in the mundane and that it mattered. I think that's just ridiculously beautiful. Crawling under the conference table in Die Hard... "my father...was a fiend....." - Dark Knight .... one character representing absolute chaos, to the point where any origin story on him is impossible because he's one lie after another. The setup of the perfect counterpoint to a character who represented order so perfectly. I'm sure I'll think of more...
