I say we just hire Rage Against the Machine and Ray Lewis to assist Adelman in the motivational department.
Agree. Under Popovich, Yao will become Duncan, Brooks will become Parker, Waker will become Manu... XD
I want Tom back. I couldn't care less about the title. But I would love to see a Rocket team win games with heart, and lose games with balls.
Do you have any grasp on Rockets history? Rudy T may have coached the pajammy Rockets who were the worst rockets in a long time (Francis and Mobley team), but he also coached the Rockets to THE ONLY TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS! How can you accuse rudy T for being a bad coach.
best coach -> clutchfans dot net, although occasionally we have to field 11 players at the same time just to meet everyone's demand :b
In an ideal world, hard to argue against Phil Jackson, unless you want to reanimate Auerbach. He incorporated the competing egos of Shaq, Bryant & third wheel Glen Rice, at a time when Shaq and Bryant hated one another. Before that, he put nutcase Rodman in his place to mesh with Jordan and Pippen (himself occasionally erratic, e.g. sitting out that final play drawn up for Kukoc). Compared to Rodman, Artest is a saint. Everybody hated Kukoc when he came over because of Kukoc's contract, but he worked him in as well. Yao and his passing would be a dominant center in a triangle offense; unlike Shaq, Yao could also be used some in the high post in that offense. Sharing the ball with Artest and a healthy (ideal world, after all) T-Mac wouldn't be an issue. The current Rockets don't have a starting-caliber traditional point guard; neither has Jackson in his title runs. That said, Adelman is an excellent coach, even for this team's personnel (remember how well he used Webber/Divac/Turkoglu in Sacramento?), and in today's NBA he's definitely the best the Rockets had any reasonable shot at getting.
you're all nuts. Like RA or not,but he is leading the team. You can talk about it this summer, but not now,you fellas on.
Many people can be very good coaches like Rick,JVG and... But, only a few can be a coach of a champion.Like jackson...
The perfect coach for this team? I would say someone who could win 22 games in a row with key players missing; no one ever does that. Or someone who could possibly win a playoff series for the first time in forever, even with their 'best player' out for the season. He would definitely have to contend for Coach of the Year as well. Unfortunately there's hardly anyone out there who meets all those criteria.
we had a chance to sign Larry Brown... forget about Sloan, I don't wanna c rox play dirty as j*zz devil coaches would be great(popovich, PR) WE NEED DISCIPLINE
Sloan for sure. Need someone who will take no **** and verbally beat the crap out of you if you screw up... Keeps them on their toes.
