I can only hope that another team is asking for the MRI to make sure TMAC is healthy enough to trade. Iverson didn't play on Tuesday because he had the flu!!!!! A man can dream.
we will never know or be able to prove if something like this is true (unless T-pu$$y says it), but i think this has something to do with the MRI. he doesn't want to go to some team that won't make it to the playoffs. so he's not gonna risk getting traded, even if he may want out of houston. if he goes to some irrelevant non-playoff contending team, he'll be irrelevant and forgotten for 2 years until he's a free agent, and even then, he'll be 9th fiddle to all the other great FA's that offseason. he'll fake this injury and let the deadline pass. i'm starting to hate this sob a lot. of course, all this is based on hypotheticals and a lot of 'if's.
You would think he had major reconstructive knee surgery. A simple knee scope leads to 8 months of mediocre play. Willis McGahee is rolling over in his grave.
man, I wouldn't know there would be a day where we would all be happy with our 21mil superstar getting injured and not playing. Geez, when Tmac said I'm feeling way much better after he came back from injury and 3 weeks rest, it gave me hope..
Here is the link to TMac taking an MRI today might not play tonight: http://my.nba.com/forum.jspa?forumID=5700013641
I think there's some merit to the theory that he's trying to sabotage any trades, and I'm almost at the point where I think the Rockets should consider dumping him for scrubs, but what GM would want him?
I'd like to preface my next comment by saying, I'm just as frustrated and disappointed in McGrady's play this year, but we have a LOT of classless people making classless comments around here lately.
We can't trade this dude because we will not pass anyone's physical at this point. Your 6'9" and can't dunk anymore, give me a break.
Not really - we've got what? 1 or 2 McLady's thrown in, and a bunch of people happy to know he's not going to (a) coast and go throw the motions or (b) royally screw the offense with his outside-outside, no drive, me-me contested 38% jumper game? He's made himself persona non grata. No one's crossing the line and hoping his MR's for an inoperable, rapidly terminal tumor. I'm very suspicious that this is indeed a ploy for sympathy or excuses. I haven't seen any reports at all about knee swelling, so what exactly are they looking for in his knee? Did he tear ligaments in his sleep? But hey - if they want to do a massive coverup conspiracy to shelve him with a sham injury, I'm all for it at this point. He's made it clear that he can't buy into a team concept when he isn't going to be the team itself. Evan
