When I first got on, I remember Rocket Girl. She was one of my more favorite posters, but she has disappeared. ------------------ Nice guys finish last ... and im surely not going to finish last!
FG147 was pretty obnoxious, and he lasted several days before being banned. scottiepippensixrings changed his name to scottiepippensevenrings during the WCF's last year, only to come back as scottiepippensixrings faster than a Trailbalzer fourth quarter collapse. He lasted for a thread or two. What about Dreamshake (aka thedreamshake99)? Him and I got into it about Rodman as a Rocket about two years ago. I haven't seen him around in a while. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
As far as people who aren't here anymore - a few stand out. There was one with the screen name chinese who didn't spell very well, but that could be because he claimed he was from China. Also, a user by the name of Vega (who had a site endorsed by Clutch) used to post on here. And of course there was RocketMan East which is Rocketman Tex today. There are others but my memory is clouded. -Turbo
I think he was known as Rocketman West, since he was living in California at the time. If we are including name changes, then the most famous one is Francis3, who was originally pippen33. He got Clutch to transfer his post count to his new name. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Doh!!! Apologies to all of the RocketMen from east to west. Just got my directions mixed up. My bad. -Turbo
This LHutz isn't the original? ------------------ Boston College - Big East -East Division Regular Season Champs Worst to First in 2001!
Also, what about people who go into "hibernation?" I know that, now and then, I part for a few days (and in one case nearly a month). Does anyone else do this from time to time? What drives you away? What brings you back? I've only really posted much on one prior bulletin board, and the same sort of thing happened to a much greater extent. I'd quit posting, sometimes for months at a time, return, gradually post more until the cycle continued. Strange stuff. ------------------ Boston College - Big East -East Division Regular Season Champs Worst to First in 2001!
That's open for debate. The original was just too funny to believe. Some of the stuff he came up with was sooo off the wall. He would get so pissed when his grammar or spelling was called out. But something changed (at least in my eyes). LHutz disappeared for awhile, then returned. Only this time, it seemed as though his misspellings were faked, as in attempting to be funny, instead of naturally stupid. It just didn't seem like the same person. IMHO.... ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
I was here for the final couple of posts by the original LHutz then, because I actually remember a couple of people speculating about it... but I thought that had been dismissed. ------------------ Boston College - Big East -East Division Regular Season Champs Worst to First in 2001! That's what made it so famous....it had never been done before (or since, as far as I know). ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Actually, I think thedreamshake99 changed his moniker to Dreamshake about a year ago. I also remember Rocket Girl, who was among the more popular posters here, and then I remember her getting into a heated arguement with one of the Admins. (Kagy?) and her posts gradually became scarcer. Barzilla also comes to mind in the Missing Posters department, and Anti's disappearance is a mystery - and sad considering he was an awesome poster. Other regulars, such as Almu, DREAMer, Dreamshake, thacabbage, Da Man, IROCit, Ace (whose move to England probably has played a factor)and the poster formerly known as Popeye all post a lot less frequently these days. I'm sure all of them lurk here, as I cannot imagine anyone that grew so attached to this site letting go of it completely. A lack of time in the day is probably the main reason, which I can totally relate to. Lets just hope its that and that they're all doing well and are still with us. Well, the little creation just refuses to let me spend more than the required time on this site. I got banned so many times its not even funny. Mostly during college when the stress made me think that I was greater than any admin in the world. After graduation, my brain released the necessary harmones to calm my ass down and realize that Clutch, Kagy and the others are not the obnoxious tirants I thought they were. They are actually aliens sent here to fight for truth, justice and the Rocket way. ------------------ Sleepless in the Bronx

Yep, you got it right Sig. I was banned AT LEAST twice with the user name RocketsPimp and a few other times under other temporary names. It all stemmed from me dogging Almu and a couple Admins about 3-4 years ago. Clutch basically put me in timeout for a few weeks to get my act together and gave me a second chance. I admit, I was being an ass at the time. Oh well, it's all in the past now. On to bigger and better things in Austin...and a few Rockets gatherings! ------------------ "Clinton lied. I was digging through the archive, looking at some classics, and ironically came across this post, which is fitting. I hope some of the old regulars read it and pay some of us newbies, and old school posters a visit! http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/005813.html ------------------ Meow!
