I wouldn't believe anyone coming on this board and talking about their SAT scores. Just like I don't believe people that talk about their salary.

I think every valedictorian in Texas can goto a public university for free. So, take your free money. Anybody could be the valedictorian at Laredo Cigarroa, or whatever school you go to. I know it isn't Plano or Westlake.

    Which high school? Brownsville Hanna?

If you're a valedictorian in a Texas publiv high school, you can goto any public university you want in Texas for free. the fact that you think that a private university should give you money is your problem.
Either I am missing something or you're old.

Waco Midway is where I went. I'm 25. And go check your facts. Valedictorians only get their first year free at public schools. Not worth it compared to a Rice education.

I was speaking in general terms. Obviously what I said doesn't apply in every situation.

I got the score on my first try, with no Kaplan course or any other preparation.

And I also didn't mean that the SAT measures higher-level reasoning ability. It simply screens out the idiots for universities.

    Word. ;) :) :D :p

I had a great SAT score (yes, with some test prep), was only 6th in my class, got into a really good college, didn't do that well when I actually went there, eventually got the highest advanced degree you can get, and still only make $35,000/yr. :(

(oh, and apparently my IQ was just below genius level. based on all y'all's IQ postings, you're well above it, so I'm expecting great things from you... :D ) Just kidding; those stupid tests don't mean a great deal.
