ESPN posted this inflammatory caption on a Harden euro highlight last night. Basically baiting fans into calling Harden a cheater. Anyone that understands the rules knows that's a legal move but that's not the problem. The problem I have with BSPN is we weren't on National TV last night, the Bucks were. And here's what Giannis did last night. 3 separate travels with the last one in particular being utterly ridiculous. No incendiary titles on their highlights, no question of his game. This is how the media manipulates people. Giannis has the machine behind him while we've been made the villains. These guys don't even pretend to hide their hate anymore This clown Russillo is blatant with it.
Kenneth faried on IG said it was “super travel but it’s harden” We might know why he’s not here anymore
Look at what David Aldridge had to say about us as a fanbase, Morey and Harden. That isn't normal. That's personal to me. At the end of the day though, just like the Astros, the only way to shut them up once and for all is to win a Championship. Harden, Morey, MDA and Russ finally getting their ring will literally cause pain to many.
I don't think there is anybody here that doesn't think media bias is real except LOF's. We already know what it is. Manu Ginobili did this for years and the NBA loved every second of it, but now it's a problem when the dark skinned African American bearded man does it.
Travel rule: gather step then 1-2. So Harden's is fine. Most of those Giannis examples posted are ok too.. the last one is ok unless you say he slid his pivot foot. But the man is allowed to pivot as much as he wants. Gianni definitely travels a lot. But most of those examples were the wrong ones to choose
The fact that they count the gather as 1 is laughable. He’s bringing the ball to his hand but was already planted. These dudes do this for a living and don’t even know the rules. It’s embarrassing.
To not be the villain, your team has to have the one of the biggest stars who is personable (Curry), one of the biggest star that does something that seems superhuman (speed, size, agility, jump, etc.) (Giannas, Lebron), or opens the NBA to a new fertile market (Yao). It's basically selling the narrative of the NBA. Sure, most of the fans on message boards don't care about that, but that is what sells to the average fan. The drama, the story, a la the WWE or any of the reality tv show singing/talent competitions on TV. Rockets just have to shut them up so they have to swallow their narrative. Harden has to pull a Dirk this playoffs.
That Rusillo guy really hates the Rockets. He and Bill Simmons basically suck each other off about how awesome their Rockets hate-takes are. Not surprisingly he's a Curry/Warriors lover
Just more fake narrative from fake experts. https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2020/2/23/21149538/james-harden-travel-eurostep-rockets-vs-jazz
