Actually, relative to other parts of the world, it's much better here. For example, Australia is definitely a lot more racist than America.

The accusations I posted have been thoroughly debunked to the point that all rational people are convinced. The people who still believe those idiotic things must have some other reason to hate Obama, one which eludes detection. Racism seems to be an explanation that fits, Occam's Razor.

There's probably enough ignorant people who like Obama because he's black to at least balance out the people who hate him because he's black. It would be naive to assume neither group exists.

What I don't understand is why Obama is seen so radical, he's no more left than Bill Clinton or any other mainstream Democrat.

Racism is certainly prevalent, but it's gotten better in the past 40 or so years. There's still a large class divide, but it's slowly shrinking. In an ironic twist, racism in America is now more subtle than in Europe (where may black WWI soldiers stayed because of the less institutionalized and open racism).

Funny how the world changes, I guess.

I am sure Obama benefits more from his race than it hurts him - and that's a big statement. Racism is still a problem in the U.S. - don't get me wrong, but the people who wouldn't vote for a black guy for president aren't like to vote a Democrat in office either.

Obama is seen as radical because any intelligent person in this country is a socialist liberal radical commie. The anti-intellectual movement paints educated people who talk intelligently as radical and untrustworthy.

It's radical to be pro-choice, pro-evolution, pro-gay rights, pro-science. If you hold those four positions, you are pretty much as radical as they come.

Clinton was accused of similarly debunked, idiotic things. The fact that he isn't black removes racism as a motive, leaving politics. It confuses me why under similar, but less egregious, accusations Obama's critics are all called racialists.

What's wrong with you? You go stalk me in some threads and start personally attacking me, and then in another you demand civilized debate?

Dude, I don't want to communicate with you anymore. Do me a favor pretend I don't exist and I will return the favor.

Hundreds of people?! Holy crap! Out of 300 million people, a few hundred make racism accusations, and that is what you use to determine that Obama is a bad President? Like I said, your critical thinking skills need lots and lots of work.

If a few hundred people say criticism of Romney is racist (or anti-Mormon), will you decide he'd be a bad President?

What about pro-evolution? Does that mean you are for the funding of research to create X-Men?

How about we just follow Occam's razor? Isn't the simplest explanation that everyone dislikes Obama because unemployment is up, deficit is up, inflation is up, thus the misery index is up, average income is down, gas prices are up, freedom is down (freedom index), food stamp recipients are up, etc...

I didn't say 'hundreds of people'. read fail.

Hundreds of Democrats, liberal pundits, and blogs have made similar remarks.

Are Democrats, pundits, and bloggers not people?

Yes.........I see it and deal with it everyday. Fortunately it isn't as overt or as socially accepted as it was when my father was growing up but it is very real.
