At 6-7 he makes a great inbound passer on a last second lob from out of bounds... At least his shoes were always sick.
Man, poor Penny. He should sue Sprite for those LeBron commercials with the action figure. Total ripoff of the Lil' Penny commercials. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/q3Wv1WzPBDs"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/q3Wv1WzPBDs" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
I dont think he played point since being traded to the Suns 75 years ago. I watched game 1 of the 95 finals the other day. He was so promising. Could have been a truly great star.
I live about an hour away from Penny's native Memphis and this has been on those channels a lot, our town's CBS, NBC, and FOX come from Memphis. Hope he gets to play and succeed. I have a basketball from Upper Deck signed by Penny. It cost a few hundred dollars when I got it back in the mid 90s, too bad it probably isn't worth the basketball that the signature is on now.
I saw Penny practicing a few times in the past month and a half here in Miami; still looked like he had something left int he tank. Of course, he was playing one-on-none.
apparently they (Sonics) don't want to get him b/c of the possibility that Lenny Wilkens could come back and coach them. If they get a definitive word that Wilkens is out of coaching for good, then they'll go for Penny. (apparently Lenny didn't care for Penny back in NY) that's the word off someone's blog on espn...read it this morn amidst a lot of stuff, so i'm not gonna search for the link
Maybe he has changed. I haven't been following him for a long while. He used to be pretty arrogant, and always blamed others for his problems.
right. he earned it. but the truth is, the only difference between DA and the audience is, DA was paid to watch the games.
