It looks like Sid the Kid won't be moving in next door to Roger Clemens or Beyonce or T-Mac. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/NHL/Pittsburgh/2006/10/05/1956980-cp.html
I heard a few months back that Les Alexander was interesed in buying a pro hockey team and bringing it to houston. The penguins were one of the teams discussed
They are pretty much doing OK now. I thought they were going to move out after the Chap 11 thing. They are one of the favorites to win the Cup this year.
and like a tree falling in the forest when no one is around..... DAMN IT...PUT THE NHL BACK ON A REGULAR CHANNEL!!!!!
I was this close to buying Center Ice this year. If my wife ends up going to other cities to open restaurants like they have planned, I may do it.
They're opening stores in Colorado Springs, Minnesota and Chicago as far as I know. I think there are more. It's not really the greatest of times for her to be going out of town for weeks at a time, but I'll support it because it's good for her growth in the company.
I just don't see Houston getting major league hockey in my lifetime. With a new CBA that helps the small market US teams and the 6 Canadian teams, every team is pretty much safe now.
Cmon Les, make Houston a 5 Sport team! Check this out: I googled "Les Alexander Rockets" and this was the first link that came up: http://www.brainyhistory.com/events/1997/october_23_1997_175638.html Did this ever happen?
