JVG => zero offense => missed shots.

    That is it.

I agree, the complete disregard for penetration is leading to ass-reamings as of late.

It's obvious that Head needs to start penetrating some more

I agree about the lack of penetration, on the court that is, and I think it goes to the problem that zone D's make it difficult to penetrate unless there is good movement without the ball and crisp passing. Two things the Rox don't do well. As I noted in another thread I think this team is built on the model like the 93-96 Rox with a strong post presence a creator on the outside and then a lot of jump shooters but zone D and inconsistent outside shooting makes that hard to execute. As I stated in another thread my own feeling is the Rox should look to run some more to free up the offense and allow T-Mac, Head, Swift, Anderson and Rafer create some more in the open court. I agree that without a true PG this might not be smooth at first but the current half court sets aren't working that well especially without a post presence.

T-Mac's penetration 9 months ago killed us in the second half.

We just don't have anyone that can break down their man and get into the lane forcing rotations.

What's sad is that this team sure could use another Mobley or Francis. Maybe Orlando would trade back Cato and Francis for Swift and Derek Anderson.

I definitely agree that we need another player that can penetrate and score. I actually thought that Derek Anderson was brought in for that reason. When we acquired him I questioned whether it was injuries that didn't allow him to play time on the Blazers last season or if it was because he just plain sucks now. I really did not believe his speech when he said they did not play him to give the younger guys a chance to shine. The fact is the Blazers still gave Damon Stoudamire time to play. I have and still welcome the thought of getting Spree. He may be a bit older now but with the role we need him to play on this team, I think he will do just fine. I still think he could penetrate to score or pass just like we need. Many said Sam Cassell was done but with the way the Clippers are doing, it doesn't seem that way. I honestly think we should stop looking for options on our roster and start looking at available options on other teams.

Yeah we need a drive and dish kinda threat. Luther gets himself in some bad situations when he drives and tries to hand it off. He gets caught in the air a lilttle too much, but thats something that'll change over the offseason.

TMac's penetrates too well and this team can ill afford more pregnancy-related absences....

Luther seems like he can, but he does act like a rook and needs some coaching. My sense when watching him is he feels like he is on a short leash. And I would like to see him fake the 3 and step around his man and drop in some mid range 2's or drive to the hoop more, & then finish or dish to Tmac and Stro.

It seems like on a Gundy team each player besides Tmac learns one play and then works on that until it is so predictable that the other team can see it coming in their dreams. Then Gundy starts that player on play #2....

You can have anything on the menu as long as it is baloney sandwiches. :D

we should just sign marbury. I really wish steve francis would take a pay cut and come here.

    Yao
    Swift
    Tmac
    Head
    Francis

San Antonio wouldn't want us to do this trade.

In reality ....we need make a trade. Les needs to spend right now because we have Tmac and Yao. JVG needs to open up the offense.

We are not playoff contenders...WE ARE CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDERS
