Peja Stojakovic an option?

I don't like Battier much, but even I wouldn't do that trade. Now, if Stojakovic was free... nope, still wouldn't do it!

Sure Battier is better defensively, but Peja's offensive ability makes up for it.

There will be less minutes at the 3 availiable, so with the downward trend in point and less time, I'd say maybe 8 pts a game. And OP said it would be Battier+Jeffries for Peja, so I would think Jeffries stats would need to factor in somehow.

It's a bad idea before and after stats analysis.

You think Houston might be one of those teams trying to acquire him? He would be a great fit with this team, since he already knows Adelman's offense and would have great chemistry with the teammates. Ex: Kevin Martin and Brad Miller.

Why Houston does it: It gives Chase Budinger a chance to start and have more playing time which could be very beneficial for the Rockets. I remember Budinger's first NBA start, he had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Also we get more fire power off the bench and nice expiring for next season. I know we would be losing Shane but let's face it, Shane wasn't and isn't what he used to be. He can still defend at a high level but not as well as he used too. And his offense is nearly down the drain.

Why New Orleans does it: It shows Chris Paul that they are willing to make moves to make him happy. They get a defensive minded player for their bench that they desperately need and an extra big (which they have basically none of). Plus Battier and Jefferies are expiring.

I would project our rotation to be like:

Brooks/Lowry

Martin/Lee

Budinger/Peja

Scola/Hill or Patterson

Yao/Miller

A second unit of Lowry, Lee, Peja, Hill or Patterson, Miller would be epic.
