Do you mean overall better than Cat? Or are you saying he has a better first step? There aren't too many players with a First-Step better than Cat. That doesn't make him better than Gordon -- Gordon has superior range and quicker release, but First Step is one of his skills that Cat is better at.
No, just first step. Gordon is damn quick and it’s just not a fact that Mobley is better (quicker).

Yes, there are. And millenium also means 1,000 years. So does OP mean 1,000 years after year 2,000 or before. Basketball has not been around for a millennia so the term was poorly used. OP could have used best team of each decade but since 2,000 that is 2 (almost 3) decades. The entire agenda was to build or speculate on a best team that did not involve Houston's Finest. OP created an arbitrary Maginot line just to keep out any discussions of Dream, Big E, Chairman of the Boards, the Pocket Rocket, Ralph, etc. I dont mind discussing recent Rockets favorites but lets not be disingenuous and convince younger fans that many of these guys were deserving of the label "best". Rockets may not have quite the player legacy of the Celts or Lakers but we are not the Nuggets who laud "greats" like Byron Beck, David Thompson, Kiki Vandeweghe, Marcus Camby, Chauncey Billups, etc. Let's not confuse beloved role players with all time greats.
@D-rock I get it buddy, you don't like the concept, so why don't you **** off to another thread then? The Rockets' best ever team has been discussed 1,000 times on these forums, and everyone usually comes to a similar consensus so what's the point? That's tinman's gimmick anyway, maybe you'd be more at home in one of his threads?
