That's incredible, mogrod. It's very rare that I see one of these proposals that benefits every team equally and doesn't heavily favor the Rox. It is dreamcasting, but a nice scenario, nontheless.

No way Boston does that trade. A high school prospect for... Tyronn Lue? I may be undervaluing Lue, who is a serviceable PG, but that would just be dumb. Better to let Payton and his whiny ass walk, and let West and Banks develop. The best case scenario is that he does report, and that Ainge can eventually swap him for a draft pick.

    This would be fair:
    Payton

    for

    Weatherspoon
    First-round pick

Houston replenishes its backcourt and, if Payton works out, places itself in title contention, and Boston receives a late first-round pick.

What about now that Boston signed Tom Gugliatta, can we send weatherspoon or Mo Taylor, for tom and gary. It all depends how much they paid for him. Is there a timeframe that they can not trade Tom Gugliatta?

Yes. You can't sign and trade another team's player.

Boy, this is a tough one. I have no love for the mitten as I still have nightmares about how he torched us with regularity when he was with Seattle and there is little question that GP is an *******. However, if he came to the Rockets, he would be our *******, and I could probably stomach that for a season or two. I think I could stomach that better than my lack of confidence in who they have now as the starters (Lue, Gaines, Sura, Ward, Wilks).

I personally like the fact that were going to have a point guard whos main job it will be to pass the ball, and not be the main scoring option. Payton is a heck of a player, but we've already got McGrady and Yao- do we need three guns? All Im saying is the best teams are those with a couple of main options then good role players. Look at the Pistons, Spurs, Kings, the championship Laker teams, and the two Rockets teams that won it all. I like that fact we have the two guns, then solid role players in Howard, Jackson, Ward, Sura, Weatherspoon, Taylor, Lue, Nachbar, Gaines, and hopefully Mutumbo. Basically, I like this team.

considering the way payton got rolled by the younger guards in the west, why would you want payton on the rockets?

I wont mind getting GP if we can rid of Mo's or Spoon's contract in process.

second thought... I'll only take GP if I am getting a 1st round pick and they take Spoon.... Granted Boston will never do this, but I dont care. And if it does happen, GP's job is to die at the end of the bench and fetch water for Tmac and Yao the minute they feel alittle thirsty.

Because Charlie Ward and Tyronn Lue are going to get rolled on by the younger guards in the West.
