Good move for the Heat. That team is stacking up nicely. Two years from now after they have a chance to get two more MLE signings and another LLE signing they are going to be unbeatable, if not already.
because big men, even mediocre ones, are hard to get. I mean geez, all you gotta do is look at us. We had Chuck Hayes playing center for us for crying out loud. Love the guy but he's 6'6 man. Z is 7'3. You can't teach height and you can't make up for it either.
he is a big that can spread the court and pull the opposing big men away from the basket. as for the chemistry part. Usually i would agree but Wade is a team player and Lebron has always been one to spread the ball around. The biggest question would be Bosh, but he doesnt seem like the kind to rock the boat too much. They need to get some defensive guards on the bench who can spot up for 3s. I'm also curious how pittman will do in the pros.
Don't forget how hard it is to find even average 7 footers in today's league. It's not like they need stars at that position. Plus he can spread the floor with his shooting, so it's actually a perfect signing. I'm sure they are still making calls, probably to Shaq.
until they traded him last year.. and when coach brown benched him before his milestone.. if he leaves.. I would understand.. ): Dan gilbert, however, may just send an open letter to the fans
you know what make this board explode? if tmac signed there and rode their coattails to a ring. good god this board would blow up.
I personally guarantee that the Cleveland Cavaliers will win an NBA championship before the self-titled former "Big Z" wins one.
I'm a huge Big Z fan, but I'm not sure how much help he'll be. He's getting dramatically slower each year, and I think he's only useful for 20 minutes a game. He can spot up and shoot from distance without clogging the lane, which fits with superstar wing players who can drive. But he will hurt them on defense. I really hoped he could win a title, but unfortunately Cleveland is out of the picture. Between him, 2 former Gators, and even Lebron, I have more and more reason to see this team win a championship.
Everyone keeps bringing this up, as if this is some kind of 'gotcha'. Ironic considering the team we're all rooting for on this board. It's true of any team - if a star gets injured it will be a major detriment. Whether it's Kobe/Gasol, KG/PP/Allen (even Perkins, as evidenced), even Yao/KM/AB.
