Is it just me or does anyone else hate having timers on their passive abilities? I miss the D2 days where I don't have to refresh them every three minutes. Its absolutely pointless.
Care to clarify? Do you mean timers on your passive skills, because there really aren't a lot of passive skills that have timers on them. The ones that do would be very overpowered if they had no timers on them. ie. Witch Doctor's Spirit Vessel
What do you use for a spirit dump on your Monk? I generally used my Mantra as a spirit dump for the added 3 second effect so I always have the Mantra up.
Just a headsup to those wanting to flip commodities in the Diablo 3 Auction House. The price of fiery brimstone is expected to skyrocket to 1mil per unit. I tried to get in on the action but they are already 200k a unit. Not too big a risk to make 5x your investment.
Anybody have Whimseyshire for Inferno? I'm a Wizard stuck farming Act 1 comfortably, but dying a lot when I try Act 2. Need to farm for more loots.
Yes... but if you have trouble with act 2, Whimsyshire will DESTROY you. For me act 2 is very, very easy now with my Barb. But I die a lot in Whimsyshire. You would probably have trouble killing even one rare pack.
I hadn't heard that, but it makes sense... the reason would be that they are coming out with a patch eventually that will make Legendary items not suck so hard. So since they are buffing legendaries, legendary crafting materials would become more valuable.
The Legendary Crafting update that is soon to be implemented is going to spike the amount of people wanting to craft with legendary materials, namely Fiery Brimstone which can only be salvaged from iLvls of 61 and above. Don't take my word for it, but gold is getting heavily inflated and thus people are seeking a safety net which means tons of people are investing in that Fiery Brimstone. There's a guy on reddit.com/r/diablo that explains it perfectly. Although, many players are also arguing that this is a REALLY risky investment. If you have a lot of gold then I recommend at least taking a risk.
Virtual economies are gaining more and more traction as an accurate way to predict trends in the real-world economies. Ultimately same principles apply, virtual currency is not as valuable as real-life currency UNLESS there is a system to swap virtual currency for real currency a la Diablo 3.
You have to kite him around the edge of the room in a circle. It's super easy once you get a hang of it. Also use no follower during this fight because you want him to place a gas cloud on you and not in a random location. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/iv_wRWcRvkc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I understand that legendaries are getting buffed, but only DROPPED legendaries, and I'm completely unaware of any new legendary crafting recipes being introduced in the game in the near future. Keep in mind that we've only had 1.0.3, 1.0.4 is a way out, and 1.1 is probably 4-6 months away minimum. I suspect the recent price surge of Fiery Brimstones is mainly due to: 1) old set/legendary items now require 2 FB's (up from 0) to craft after 1.0.3 and 2) speculation from people driving the price up without tangible demand If you have extra gold, feel free to take some risks. Personally I'd much rather put the gold to use, and use the $250 Battle.net balance as a small hedge against depreciating gold prices.
Yeah, this is what gave me hesitation before putting the Hallowed Armaments recipe I found on the AH. I did so anyway and got 15 million back (after taxes, of course). I guess I'd like to get to farm Act 3/4 before I start collecting recipes. Still trying to up my DPS to the point I can beat Ghom... I could probably do it with my 1.2k DPS farming Daibo and Deadly Reach, but ehhh...
I should note that it works like that to a point. Ghom has a soft enrage where he begins to fart out clouds at a faster rate and he can easily cover the room before any dissipate. I can get him to ~35% before this point arrives, but that's with only 11.5k DPS and the Intimidation rune on MoC instead of Overawe. I'll probably try him again tonight now that I have 13.5k DPS and will run with Overawe instead. Combined with 800 resist and 1000 LoH, he should be doable. You need to have some balance of DPS (to beat the enrage) and survivability (to survive a little time in a cloud) against Ghom as a Monk. We don't have Revenge, so we can't stand in clouds forever.
I know that; I was serious. I hope there is a economics group that is specifically following the Diablo 3 economy. That description you posted has potential considerations in commodities and macroeconomics. It read like an investors stock report.
