You guys should check out the Rainbow Six series, especially Rogue Spear. That's great for single-player, but when it comes time for some multi-player action, try the Half-Life mod Counter-Strike (www.counter-strike.net) which is really awesome!! I'm really into this covert-ops/counter-terrorist business. Also, supremely nice is Deus Ex; unfortunately, none of these spiffy games work on my comp due to my ancient graphics card. I'd opt for the GeForce2 GTS since it'll take the graphics processing load of my CPU, but then the FSAA of the Voodoo5 6000 (which I've yet to see reviews about) is kinda cool too. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Buy whatever you can afford that does what you want it to do and then hang for as long as possible because within 6 months to a year that video card will be old technology. [IMG]

The TNT cards are awesome. I bought a Voodoo3 3000 card when it was top of the line... that was like what? Six months ago? Ugh.

Let me guess. You got a job as a proofreader? j/k [IMG]

But I'm pissed about Battle.Net, the free online gaming service that Blizzard created. They're having all kinds of problems with it from what I can tell. Half the time I can't stay connected to games. Oh well, if you're not playing Diablo II it won't mean anything to you. [IMG]

In another week or so, I'll hardly have any time to play... I'll be starting a new job, too. Woo hoo!

Damn, I'm still waiting for my copy of Diablo II. I decided to order it from Amazon.com after having gone over this thread.

For the time being, I am playing the Euro 2000 football game (it's funny that I suck at penalties as well). In addition to that, I've decided to take a look at some of my old games. I'm currently trying to sharpen my RPG skills with Baldur's Gate, just to be a little more prepared to face the devil.

Argghh!! Damn it, Amazon, hurry up!

    Ace,

do you play any of the Championship Manager games? Those are so addictive... not good for girlfriends, either.

Other than that, at the moment I stick with PGA 2000 and Earth 2150. Every year or so I re-install Red Alert, too - that game is my all-time favorite PC game. It's no Galaga though [IMG].

MManal probably has noticed by drop of performance due to Diablo II. I got it the first day it came out and didn't sleep for 3 days or so and beating the game.

It's all about the necro, I got plenty of advice if u need it.

Anyways, it was fun and I don't play any PC games other than Blizzard ones as they are INFERIOR. Dr, don't even bother playing any other games, as they are a waste of time(in terms of strategy games).

Waiting for Warcraft III...Me and playing Necro has prepared myself for the undead race or Scourge...

    Ace,

I'd highly recommend Championship Manager 3. You can find it probably just about anywhere in Europe, but I had to have it mail ordered over here. It's been tagged as the best footie management sim ever. I think there is a more recent version available now. Best of luck!

    Ace,

Baldur's Gate is more of a true RPG in comparison to Diablo. I finished Diablo on the "Normal" setting within 1.5 - 2 weeks. It's not difficult, it's just addictive. That's why it's so popular. Baldur's Gate was far more difficult to finish and a far more expansive game. Just an FYI... [IMG]

    Keeley,

Is this the Sierra golf product? PGA Championship Golf 2000? If so, I bought it a while back and still love it. I have no idea how to play golf, wouldn't know the difference between getting a birdie and giving the birdie, and hated golf till I bought this game. I love the game.

It's amazing how you can just waste 1.5 weeks of vacation time just running around town looking for furniture and playing games.

Oh come on RF! You gotta try something else. There's only one (maybe 2) games I've played that are more addictive than Diablo II. Civilization and Master of Orion. I loved Baldur's Gate, too, that is until I found a bug in the game that didn't allow me to finish it... arrrgggh. Some of the Command and Conquer titles are pretty good from what I hear, although after playing them, I didn't really like them that much.

That being said, Blizzard puts out some of the most bug-free addictive games around. Warcraft I&II, Starcraft, Diablo I&II are all on my all-time favorites list.

    DoD -

yup, that's the one. They really did a great job with the game, and I have a tremendous anti-Sierra bias. There are so many ways to customize the game, and the TruSwing mechanism is the best one there is out there. Great game, and I got it for 19.99!

The only two games I play regularly are Sammy Sosa High Heat 2001 and also Trophy Bass 2. Ain't nothing like cyber-fishing Sam Rayburn while sipping on a cold Bud Light!
