I was huge into Diablo 2. I have wasted more time playing that game than doing anything ever before. Luckily I was smart and sold my accounts on ebay when I got washed out on the game. It was fun, but I never felt more worthless than the day after pulling an all nighter playing D2. Ahhhh the good ol'days. Probably won't be big into D3 though. Too much on my plate at the moment.
seriously, i was scared when diablo 2 came out cos diablo one took up so much of my ******* time. i held off #2 for as long as i could before giving in. and really, its basically the same thing over and over and over. kill, gain points, find awesome stuff. it was an addiction. just before you think you'd quit the game, you find some ass-kicking weapon and before you know it you're happily chopping the same old demons for the next few levels.
Haha. I could see where that could cause problems. I agree with you about the Monkey Island series, btw. Man, I miss the old Lucasarts adventure games.
Yep when in late 2001 I had an auction for 1 playing account and 3 mule accounts that went for over $100.
Yeah, it was a waste of $50 if there ever was one. You ever play Full Throttle? I loved that game too. The old Lucasarts games were the best. Did they do that dog and rabit detective game too? (can't remember the name).
Yeah, I loved Full Throttle as well. I do miss some of the old LucasArts games and some of the Sierra games as well. I'm assuming you meant Sam and Max. I think LucasArts was behind that series as well, at least the early ones anyway. I think there were a few semi-recent Sam and Max game projects (one was cancelled though), although I don't know if LucasArts was behind them. As for Diablo 3, I'm looking forward to it, the same as pretty much everyone else who has posted in the thread.
Sam and Max, Full Throttle, Maniac Mansion/Day Of The Tentacle, Monkey Island, this sci-fi one called The Dig that I liked, Grim Fandango.... all great stuff.
