Dude, Taubman was fired for a reason. It was ****ing gross, weird and completely unnecessary. Osuna is not back in the league for a reason. It is a story.

I can face facts. The Stros were doing the same things most of MLB was doing. (Yankees/Red Sox/Dodgers/Brewers etc...) The media didn't like Luhnow because he had a long memory when the media was questioning what he was doing and his methods of doing things. Manfred didn't like Luhnow/Stros because he changed the way MLB teams were being run and it was costing MLB money.

Another fact the Stros wouldn't be the dynasty they are today without Luhnow's leadership. Everything he did was with winning a championship 1st and foremost. The Rockets/Texans could learn a few things from how Luhnow operated.

Thanks for the greatest era in Houston sports history of any of the big 3 franchises. Another fact, Thanks for your hard work and diligence Jeff Luhnow and dont pay any attention to the jealous haters.

    Kiss the rings

Long live the GOAT. You can still argue hakeem as #1 in Houston sports history but Luhnow is at worst #2.

Luhnow's work still has the Stros as title contenders and he hasn't been here in 5 years. He was that good.

You really want to play dumb about this? Why do you think the Astros fired their assistant GM and no other MLB team has hired him since?
Did you miss the part where Taubman decided to exclaim "I'm so f-ing glad we got Osuna" to three female reporters in a game after Osuna gave up a 9th inning homer to DJ Lemahieu? Did you know Taubman yelled that six times at these women? Did you know that another Houston staffer immediately apologized to these people because he was being so aggressive and weird? You want to explain that?

Come on. Don't die on Taubman Hill. He wasn't willing to do this, nor were the Astros.

Not sure that’s even a debate. Would take him number 1 to run my franchise of anyone in any sport ever

There are a lot of unfair scapegoats in this mess, but Taubman is not one of them. He was deliberately trolling, and the ill will he decided to create for no reason, except that he was drunk, came back in a huge way to hurt his employer. He doesn’t deserve a second chance, and he never got one.

I have family that lives close to Madrid Spain, and they are thrilled with Luhnow and what he has done with their football team. He has turned around the franchise in their area and they are doing very good. Luhnow was an incredible asset for MLB, not just the Astros.

He was ousted in MLB because of back room politics, he stepped onto the toes of the old guard guys. Luhnow continuously had his team on top regardless of if he won/lost on a draft pick, won/lost a trade, won/lost on a free agent. Because the one thing Luhnow did was he didn’t let guys flounder in their system once their data showed that player wasn’t projecting into their future. Too many GM let their guys take up valuable minor league space from guys who still could potentially grow into legit MLB talents. Luhnow would extract value even on diminishing players, such as trading Mark Appel when a lot of us still thought he has hope.

In one of Evan Gattis' drunken late night rambles, he dammed the Astros with posts like these. I doubt he remembers what happened in those games. If Astros players could hear bangs through the MMP park playoff crowd noise, then they may have superhuman hearing.
