Paul Schaffer and Late Show Band Own some band called The Orwells

I don't know about the Letterman stuff, but I saw this commercial last night and really liked the song.

 

Easily one of the top albums of 2014 -- Letterman loves the band and invited them back shortly after their first appearance.

Thanks for the Future Islands video, I hadn't heard of them.

Letterman isn't exactly scared of booking a few bands with a reputation of being unpredictable on live TV.
