If you were actually listening, you would've heard that they were talking about scoring abilities only.
IMHO Tracy is better talent wise, but Pierce takes better advantage of his ablilities. Tracy's heart, determination, and overall dedication can be questioned. T-Mac's a great passer now but I think it's a little overated as his passing is only THAT good because of the threat of his scoring abilities so when he losing that he will, well you know........
Larry bird is still worlds better as an offensive player, you probably weren't even alive to watch him kiddo
Worlds better? I think not. And based on your maturity level and quality of posts, I'd guess you were in junior high. You're in no position to call anyone "kiddo".
Wacko, don't turn this into a personal argument. Your not even a fan I've NEVER seen you post anywhere unless it says T-MAC , and then you bring your usual spam bull****. There are hundreds of other threads on this forum yet you only post on the ones with Tracy McGrady, and your posts contain nothing but hate as if he stole an organ from you or something. Please its plain in sight your not a fan go back to jazzfanz.com
So in an attempt avoid a personal argument, you call me "not a fan" and "wacko"? Interesting strategy. For future reference, I have no intention to getting into a personal argument with you for obvious reasons. If theres any thread in particular you want my opinion on, let me know and I'll be happy to share my thoughts.
TMac's heart, determination and overall dedication is to PP/Kobe's is the same as WangZhiZhi's heart, determination and overall dedication as compared to Yao's.
And I will question Yao's dedication to the Rockets with him constantly getting injured due to him playing for his crap ass national team.
Somebody, not long ago, posted a chart in the Rockets forum about the shooting percentages from different areas on the court. Comparing Kobe and Tmac. Kobe was of course better from the 3 point line and the paint. Tmac was killing him from midrange though.
The problem with his assertion is that he's making a very general claim based on the stats of a few games. Tmac is not a good shooter, but he's streaky. He's capable of making 10 in a row, but he's just as capable of missing 10 in a row. If he were great at mid-range shooting, he'd be a great free throw shooter. Thats about as mid-range as you can get.
http://www.nba.com/hotspots/ Check for yourself. In the 8 midrange "hotspots", T-Mac shot 43.2% during the regular season and Kobe shot 40% during the regular season. And if you focus on the 5 midrange spots inside the 3-point arc and outside the paint, T-Mac shot 42.9% whereas Kobe shot 37.6%.
There was another chart that was put up a few weeks ago too... I can't remember where it is, but I know exactly what R0ckets03 is talking about and it clearly showed Tmac is having either the 1st place or 2nd place in the league for mid-range shooting.
First post i agree with you on. But i think that is the T-MAC of this year. Last year he was actually a pretty good 3 point and midrange shooter
But we have to admit his % was a little bit down last year because of injuries. Knee is important part when you shoot. The same with shoulder. He had several games when he played several minutes, went 2/10 and than left the game. That kills your stats
I dunno where you got 2440 points from, Mcgrady only scored 1427 this season, so he's only better assist and turnover wise than Pierce and Redd. Mcgrady is overated. Don't get me wrong Mcgrady in his prime was top 5 in the league but he's way past it. He hasn't aged well and he peaked too early he's too young to be on the downside of his career but that's where he is at right now. He relied too much on his talent his work ethic is what is costing him now. Expect more of the same from him next year if not worse.
