Rex Chapman: "What a terrible possession this is." Walker promptly hits an out of control leaning shot. Then Tinsley, who's been out since FEBRUARY hits a runner. Gosh what a game!
Sorry but this thread title needs to be changed. After watching the tape over and over again Tinsley deserves an Oscar for a great acting job on the "elbow thrown" by Pierce. It was more like he was waving him off, not elbowing him. Tinsley and the refs are morons, anyone but Pierce.
I was born and raised in Nederland. Trust me, Kendrick Perkins is not from Nederland, no matter what his bio says. He may have been born in the hospital in Nederland but he never lived there.
I thought it was more of a case of a bogus call than Pierce being a dumbass--Tinsley hit him fouled him and then hit him in the face. Thankfully the deserving team won. Game 7 is anyones game just like the Rockets, the winner will get destroyed by Detriot.
He's from somewhere over in the golden triangle area. I just saw Nederland on his bio. No disrespect intended towards your hometown.
Pacers got to pick who shot the free throws, not the Celtics, or at least that is the way the Celtics' radio announcers explained it. That is why Perkins was out there shooting those fts.
There is a town called Nederland in america? In The Netherlands there is also a town called nederland, it has 10 people living in it. And ofcourse nederland is the dutch way f saying The Netherlands. How big is that town?
yeah reason why he knows the kid's not from nederland is because he wouldn't be around today if he was J/K
Probably about 20k people. Not positve on the figure though. The name comes because the city was originally a Dutch settlement.
Pierce is a moron. It was a big acting job by Tinsley, falling down. But, that doesn't negate the fact that Pierce threw his elbow on a foul he was expecting to come, with only 12 seconds left in a 1 point game. If the Cs lost that game, that bonehead move by Pierce would have been up there with Webber's timeout that wasn't. I don't blame the officials for it either. They conferred about it before assessing the technical. I think they'd rather not give it to him, but Pierce forced their hand. I did like how Pierce came out for the postgame with a big bandage around his head, like Tinsley broke his jaw or something. Was he hoping to justify his bonehead move by showing off how badly Tinsley injured him?
So you watched the tape "over and over" again and finally determined it was a great acting job by Tinsley, but the ref is a moron for not seeing it as it occurred at full speed the first time?
Even in real time it didn't look bad to me, in slow time it was obvious a flop and more of a push than an elbow. I think the bandage was kind of a PR thing to make sure he didn't get suspended for gae 7. Tinsley did hit him in the face/neck even after the original foul, I think this was a manover to make sure he would not be suspended (make sure they weighed Tinsley's more forcefull cheap shot relative to Piece's after the play fairly weak retaliation). Piece well admitted he made a dumb play and should not have reacted that way for the sake of the team, I have no idea what "justification" or "excuse" you think he is looking for.
"I think Reggie just might have played his last game in this building." - Antoine Walker Now... What's more moronic? Almost costing your team a game - or - motivating a player like Reggie Miller in the type of game this guy lives for? Not to mention motivating his teammates, guys that have probably fallen in love with the guy and will play harder than ever for him. Sorry employee #8, Reggie will have his last great preformance and the Celtics will lose game 7.
my bad on blaming doc rivers. i completely forgot that the pacers got to choose the free throw shooter. and perkins went to beumont ozen but he played on a houston AAU team during the summer so i who knows where the hell he actually resided. i would assume beumont. and i can understand the tech on pierce even though tinsley gets an oscar for best flop from a half-assed forearm to the chest. but considering the first tech was soooooooo f'in weak they shouldn't have called that one in the end of the game.
