I wouldn't feel ashamed - I also had never heard of him. Friends of mine have been raving about a documentary he was in called "Genghis Blues" or something similar. About his forays into Tuvan throat singing. I believe he only had one album in 1972 before recording this "New Train" album in 1973. Then it sat on a shelf for 27 years and wasn't released. The whole album is very, very cool. Glad you enjoy!
