"One of the best" is a broad statement. One of the 50 best? yes, of course. One of the 25 best (i.e. All-Star), sure. But top 10? I don't think so.
He was the second best player on his team that won 49 games and got bounced in the first round. NBA MVP voting is notoriously horrific.
Personally, I would take all of the below guys before him (and I'm definitely taking this year's playoff performances into account here). Which of these guys do you think he's better than currently? No they got to put in more work to be better than him joker closing in Luka on his way but I’m a firm believer in longevity Take Kawhi for instance. I’m still tripping at anyone ever saying he was a top 5 player. He never was. The playoff mystique is only one year. Last year. Kawhi miss clutch free throws and help cost the Spurs a ring against the Heat in 2013 the next year he avg 13pts in the finals and won the mvp lol just because he kept Lebron to 28ppg lol He lost in the 1st round the next year the next season he avg 22 in the playoffs he showed lack of durability the next playoffs by missing games against Houston and getting hurt against GS He balled out the next year and won but cmon no Durant or Klay in the finals he choked this year So with all that said how was he ever better than Bron lol the man playoff history he gon either Choke Get hurt Or get lucky sorry for the rant.
