compound (which you can't see from the gif) just means higher possibility for infection. That is terrible because you can in extreme case lose the leg.

He will probably need a rod like kevin ware. I think the recovery depends on how clean the break is and the blood flow to his bone.

    That's a very valid variable.

Doctor said on ESPN that it was 9-12 month recovery. Hopefully he is back 100%

Couldn't bring myself to watch it. :(

Thoughts and prayers to PG and family.

Definitely will see changes coming in the future re: int'l competition and NBA participation.

Oh wow just saw this and I almost puked after watching the vine. I couldnt even watch the video. That is gruesome. Paul George is one of my favorite players and I really thought this was the year that he would make that transition into a superstar kinda like Harden did last year. This is so sad. Wish him a speedy recovery.

This injury isnt worse than a acl injury is it? It seems like you can come back after the year off 100%... Right??

It depends on the amount of muscle damage.

Sure, bones heal much better than ligaments. People are just sad that a player of his caliber could lose so much time off his career.

Also, shoutout to the rockets fan in that "wth" pic!

Team USA should just be top college players in country, I bet they still can get at least bronze

Good to know the Pacers aren't going to be affected too much by this. Too soon?

I understand this sentiment, but I just thought of another interesting point. Don't top college players stand much more to lose if they get hurt overseas? At least Team USA professional players have already made millions.
