Those who are a bit more knowledgable - how long do you think it'll take PG to recover from this?

So obviously a huge break to his leg - what would the initial estimate be for a return from that type of injury?

If it's only bone he can very likely return this season and it won't likely affect his athleticism. Bones heal and get stronger. I say 6 months at the very least.

Took Shaun Livingston over a year and frankly 5 to become a productive player again.

with the still image, seemed like a closed fracture(bone didnt break the skin) so thinking about 4-6 months for rods and screws to set in place... and i think...its a season end-er for sure...

Popular opinion is a compound fracture. People are saying 9-12 month recovery

Well "Anderson Silva" the UFC fighter wont be back until some time 2015, and that's still up in the air. His injury occurred Sat., Dec. 28, 2013.

From word of mouth, It has also happened to 2 Australian Basketball players. Took them 14-17 months. One of them was never the same.

Totally depends on the NERVE, TISSUE, & MUSCLE damage.

shawn;s injury i thought was his knee...that imho is really much worse...

This is a fibular and tibial fracture...based on if the break was clean...the recovery times could vary.

Absolutely brutal. This is why teams hate it when their players play for their countries.

Silva's age and profession has to be accounted for his leg fracture...

If I had a choice of Harden or George I would choose Harden but I wouldn't cry one tear if the consolation prize was PG. Huge loss for the Pacers. They were a fave to go to the Finals before this.

Hate to see an injury of this kind to any athlete. Thoughts and prayers go out to Paul George for a fast recovery.
