I appreciate your views on this. I just don’t know if OKC would play ball (bad pun not intended). But these superstars often dictate their terms.

Since the Cavs will go into full rebuild if/when LeBron leaves, I look to them first; but there is that creativity needed with Ryan Anderson’s contract.

I get the concerns... both in whether Presti would trade another star to Morey after Harden, and whether he'd help create another West powerhouse after KD's exit from OKC is what made the current Warriors. It's far from a given. But on paper, with Westbrook signed for 5 years at the max, Gordon makes a lot of sense. I actually think Gordon makes more sense for OKC than he does Cleveland, since Cleveland would likely be looking to a full rebuild (as you said) if LeBron leaves. I don't think OKC will.

They don't have to. Gordon + Nene works.

How would you guys react if Chris Paul communicated to the Rockets that he's leaving no matter what, willing to sign with the Lakers. However, he wants the Rockets to facilitate a trade so he can go to a West rival in the Thunder, who don't have cap space, to join up with Westbrook, George and Adams. How do you think James Harden would react?

Now you know how OKC fans and Westbrook would feel about this scenario.

If we gave them Gordon plus a good first round pick that were acquired for signing and trading Capela to Phoenix or somewhere else, then I think they might actually accept a deal instead of letting George walk.

Wonder if PG would be down to play for the Rockets.

OKC can still get a win now piece in EG and sell the fan base on a RW/EG back court

No way okc does that right? I mean it’s the Victor Oladipo (not sure if spelled correct) situation all over again isn’t it?

Would absolutely suck to lose EG who carried us at times. Also does that put us past the warriors? EG played very well offensively and defensively. Have a little doubt that PG would give us the same offensive punch. But man PG on the wing sheesh....would be deadly. Only way it would make it better is if we could bring in another 3pt sniper.

PG is better shooter, defender, and ball handler than EG

Also EG would fit in better with RW than PG IMO.

    Win win for both teams

PG would be such a seamless fit on this team my god.

Essentally, the star version of Ariza, with the real Ariza backing him up.

The headline in the GARM instead of Ariza

I grew to hate Paul13 and George.

    PG13 chokes........trade PG!

Choking is overrated. Combine the brains and the talent of James/CP/PG and I LOVE the team's chances against the current Warriors.

Eric Gordon is a competitor, he was a big reason we kept it close in Game 7.

If he wants to play for another team, then so be it.

I will just say this now. A highly desired free agent will be desired by all. A much bigger story would be Rockets not interested in Paul George (or any other good FA).
