LMA was more a finnesse, long range shooting guy

True, it is all on Leonard and guard help now.

spurs still suck tho. first round scrubs just like us. they should give us kawhi, he was our pick anyway. might as well take green off their hands.

I would choose family over another season but playing with Pau is tempting.

SA needs better small forwards and tougher guards. KL was the only small forward worth a damn on SA and he was even picking up the slack for the poor defending guards as well.

Wow a Pau Gasol, LMA and Kawhi front line are you kidding me? They just need some guard help but right now I think Spurs can beat anyone, GSW and Cavs included.

I'd say their guard play should be pretty solid this year.

Parker, Danny Green, Ginobli, Patty Millls, their athletic rookie Dejounte Murray, and Jonathan Simmons just dropped 18 last night in summer league. They have a mix of veterans, shooters and athletic youngsters.

I'd take their front line now against the W's actually, but it's not clear to me how much Pau has in the tank, right?

We're paying $20 million for Ryan Anderson instead.

Within the Spurs system, I don't think Gasol needs to even produce last season's numbers (16/11 iirc) for them to win.

Something like 12/8 from Gasol, with everyone else playing Spurs basketball, will probably get them 60+ wins again. AND Gasol / everyone will be pretty rested, come playoff time.

Gasol will help the Spurs, but the Spurs best lineup against the Warriors would seem to be
LMA, Leonard, ????, Green, Parker. The Spurs need another impactful wing player.

I think Mills will surpass Parker this year in effectiveness.

They got those two young guys on their bench who I think will take another step this year. Kyle Anderson and Jon Simmons.

We tried this when Hakeem was older, held on for a few years but could never quite do it.....Spurs do have Kawhii and LA, so maybe they can do what we could not.

Funny because Pau has passed on OKC and Houston because of the cities "Culture" and he chooses San Antonio. HAHAAHAH

I 100% agree with you. I think they could have maybe already, but with this kind of shooting prowess and size it will be their year..
