I know, I was being sarcastic because that dude thought that he was "winning" the argument. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Can't wait to do another draft this off season.

First of all i don't consider great game against a team called Toronto raptors... the Rockets only won by 3 pts at home..... soo not good at all..... imagine if we had Pau Gasol in these back to back games ... and i play ball too soo i know what i am talking about and my brother plays for duke and we both agree Pau Gasol is the answer 4 the Rockets team and it will be a better all around team...lets face it non of you guys want to give up Lowry.. but you need a forward that can put up points..gasol is not doing well because right now the attention is on him in LA but once we get him and get him under the kevin mchale system...the rockets are unstoppable ... we will be able to compete against tough teams and we already have two point gaurds ....for example rafer alston got traded aaron brooks got big..aaron brooks got traded ..now its lowry ...well when lowry gets traded it will be Dragic turn to shine..dragic is a good pg too so i think him running the point with gasol at the 4 and dalembert at the 5 its good too..and i say trade kevin martin too jut cuz lack of defense ... we need an allstar to bring houston up ...not a wanna be whose game is always 50/50...thats the point we need a garunteed scorer/defender/rebounder/and unselfish player.. dnt get me wrong Lowry is a good play but we are trading for a better player ...this team is stacked at every position.. we really dont need a pg right now we have 1 off the bench that shows a lot of effort every night and we have one that just sits there and don't see any mins.. a lot of people say do the trade but you guys dont want to because you want to win this trade !!!

I think/hope most people agree that Lowry for Gasol makes the team better.

Problem is the business side, it just does not make sense. Gasol would improve the team but still not to the point where we are contending. And it absolutely ruins our salary cap situation (Gasol+Martin+Scola commanding most of the cap meaning no flexibility for future moves to improve that squad).

I would rather have a young cheap borderline star player in Lowry plus cap flexibility to improve the team (either through trade or FAcy, maybe slightly overpay or take on a good player on a bad contract similar to how the Grizzlies got Randolph for free).

thats so true but it is a business but we are no longer a rebuilding team we have backups for are back ups.. we are stacked we should still trade other players too ...kevin martin to a diff team and terrence williams jorden hill thabeet and flynn have expiring contracts tho? our cap space should be good
and bring morris back to the court as a 3..we can still win a campionship this year if we want just gotta make the right moves...

If you wanna be smart about it then you tell me why we did not win in 17 years ? why we are not no longer known as a team in the nba in other states ? why Houston rockets at 75/1 of odds of winning this year? and atleast we were making the playoffs but why we didnt past the first round with tmac ? wait atleast tell me why we did not make the playoffs the past two years? last but not least why don't we have a big 3? why we do not have a top all star known in the Nba? this year we have a chance we should take it right whats stopping us oh yah ...no star no top production play no garunteed play !!

Well....one thing at a time...... if you want to blame someone then the Management... No championship I can live with but no Conference Finals for 14 or 15 years that is weak.

If you think Morey is giving up too much, perhaps you should look at it the way it was presented the first time. *The initial deal looked bad at first, but once it was hinted that the deal would have lead to the Rockets getting Nene, it looked much better.

I think it’s the same thing here. *If the trade goes down as presented, the team looks like this for the rest of the year:

    2012
    PG - Dragic/Flynn
    SG – Martin/Lee
    SF – Parsons/Bud
    PF – Gasol/PPat
    C *- Dalembert/Smith/Hill

In my eyes, that’s not too bad. I think it’s ultimately a wash, but I can live with it. *I have to believe that Morey is pushing the Pau trade because it gives him a massive trade piece to work with later. If Pau isn’t enough of a star to attract players to Houston, he may be enough to fill the need to trade for one later. *You roll with your team through the playoffs and see what happens. Then in the offseason they could sign Deron Williams outright and rade Pau and Martin for Howard and Hedo (or vice versa)…

    2012-13
    PG -Williams/Llull
    SG –Lee/Bud
    SF – Hedo/Parsons
    PF – Dalembert/PPat
    C *- Howard/Smith

…or Pau and Dalembert for Howard and Hedo.
    2012-13
    PG -Williams/Llull
    SG –Martin/Lee
    SF – Hedo/Parsons
    PF –PPat/Morris
    C *- Howard/Smith

I assume that if Howard wants a sign and trade, Orlando insists that the other team take Hedo. Not sure how all of this fits salary-wise, but they can throw draft picks and filler in where necessary.

My point is that Lowry and Scola for Pau might seem a little steep initially, but it may be necessary for Morey to reach for his ultimate goal.

Well few blame management i dont at all ... our luck has been bad with injuries and all and rudy gay being sent to memphis and Ron Artest not resigning but Morey is doing the right thing and i have faith in him... he showed us how he rebuild the team these past few seasons and he showed us that this team is totally different then he first started off with rockets and kevin mchale did a great job with our team this season ...last season we lost first 10 -11 games in a row with Rick A. so.. If Gasol comes to houston we will get more fans and get most of our old fans back and make houston rockets more interesting team in the nba and plus we will have a allstar for 2013 allstars... having an allstar is key for attracting other all stars in the offseason ....trust me that one allstar phone call makes a difference..dwade called bosh and james ..they came thru in a heart beat..so Gasol attracting howard and williams? Houston can get big and we get our own big 3 have amazing 2013 allstars right here in htown ....nd eventually bring back the championship trophy back home to houston... So far Morey did the right moves pple were mad at the trade that was about to go down in the preseason but look at Kevin Martin now?
